Can you put anything besides e-liquid in the e-cigarette? Not trying to get banned by saying anything illegal but... What else could you hypothetically put in the atomizer or drip into the cartridge?
Well, if my step mom hadn't died of lung cancer the week after mother's day, I would have asked if THC oil could be used to help relieve some of her pain. They tried THC capsuls and she couldn't keep anything down. They had her try smoking it, but her lungs were so far gone she couldn't. BTW, I live in a Medical friendly state, am a non user, but have no problems with the medical application.
Well, if these were hypothetically used for medical application of THC, how would one insert it into the cartridge to effectively use it without damaging the e-cigarette? Has anyone tried such?
I would guess is would be dripped, but the formulation of the oil would have to be made atomizer friendly. Also, I would think that damaging the e-cig would be the last worry on a person's mind if this application was what it would be used for.
The main thing is purifying the oil as much as possible. In fact, if you could separate the ingredient in question from the oil completely, and then mix it with vegetable glycerin, that would probably work perfectly. I just don't know how one would be able to purify it properly. The oil itself with kill any atomizer (from what I have heard).
Well as long as we are speaking about pot in medical terms, they have vaporizers out there for pot. They have been around for years. The do the same thing that the e-cigs do. They heat up the pot, and the THC gets extracted as a vapor. But as far as I know, they don't package the pot in handy dandy capsules like e-cigs.
I don't wanna get banned from the forum, I looked this topic up and THC is apparently a touchy subject for some people on here-- I'll stick to e-cigs here from now on.
Well it would be the same as making home ejuice. You take liquid THC and and PG/VG. Same as taking nicotene and adding PG/VG. You would need a chemist friend to extract the THC. I had heard of a local botonay student extracting the THC. This could be smoke up my ... though (no pun intended.) If you live in a place where you can legally obtain it for medical reasons or abroad where it is decriminzlied....I think you could soak an amount in vodka over a period in time and the alcohol would absorb the THC. Maybe then boild down the vodka ( lookout flames.) AT that point you could add some PG and be good to go?? I would suggest anyone that needs this to ask their doctor. Certainly do not do anything I have just suggested without consulting a professional and havinga legal reason to do so.
I would think it would be oderless. And I think it would hurt vaping legislation. Farmers cant grow hemp because its to good of a mask for marijuana plants.
Excuse the ignorant newbie but what is PG? and while I'm on the subject, does adding glycerine really do anything to the vaping experience? What exactly does it do?
PG is propylene glycol, the main ingredient in e-cig "smoke". glycerine, as far as I understand, adds sweetness to the flavor. I can now identify the different flavors in a good toke of e-smoke, and the glycerine really does blend well with tobacco flavor. If you get used to it, regular cigarettes and tobacco, apart from being filthy, taste bitter and well, anything but sweet and tasty!
