OK, looking for ideas and what others might have done.

Sometimes the only pockets on me are my jeans. I've stuck a batt w/ carto in my back pocket a few times, but worry that I might break one when I sit down, or inadvertently press the button on a manual. Ideally, the case would hold/protect up to two V4L batts (any size) with the carto's attached, and be quick and easy to open, take a few hits, then put back in my back pocket.

Suggestions?

The best thing to keep em on you with the few carto's you use during the day is a gerber multi tool knife thing pouch... I love having that on my belt.

Hmmm, I'm liking this. I've had a couple PMs for purpose-built e-cig cases, one very close to what you suggest.

Indeed the cheaters cases were close (about 1.5" wide, 1" thick, and 4" long) and were promising except not quite long enuff for an XL w/ carto, but worse I had to buy the glasses inside! :D

I tried the toothbrush case, but it doesnt really survive me sitting on it (might just be the one I have: .... or case).

I happened upon E-cigarette Case, Tampon case, Custom Case, Unique Case - ArtBoxz.com and they are nice, but again I worry it would get crushed by my 155lbs or the sharp corners would be uncomfortable.

I may go hit the plumbing section and see if a 5" PVC or ABS nipple and caps might be available in a useful diameter.... I'm sure I'll get lots of looks when I whip out an "inert pipe bomb". :)

Would it be rude to start a similar thread in a more general forum, after starting this one here in the V4L vendor forum? I enjoyed the "how do you organize your gear" threads.

plarkinjr ..I think it's fine to start a thread in the main forum. It's a big board so you'll probably get lots of ideas.
Since you like the storage threads you most likely know that craft stores & fabric stores have loads of containers that can be used for batts...like crochet hooks carriers, sewing tools etc.
