Hi everybody,
back again with a few thoughts on Lisa's 510 cartomizers. I ordered the LR 510s and the 510 Turbo Cartos for a side by side comparison and I have to say: I like them both, albeit for different purposes/batteries.
On an eGo XL battery both perform very well, though here the LR cartos are ahead a nose. The LR ones provide a better vapour production and throat hit than their counterparts, though the Turbo cartos have a more full-bodied taste. Both don't show any wicking problems. Now I have to test the durability of the LR carto-battery-combination.
The Turbo Cartomizers really start to shine on my 5V GLV2. Still great taste, huge amounts of vapour and a nice throat hit. I guess the GLV found a perfect mate here. Just as good as the 808 cartos - and no adapter needed. I could not stand using the GLV with an ordinary Atomizer/cartridge combination, because I always got that nasty burnt taste after a few puffs. No such thing with the cartos - just fill and vape.
To me the Turbo Cartos on a GLV2 are the next best thing to dripping with a regular 510 atty (and more convenient anyways). The LR 510 cartos on an eGo battery are a great 3.7 V solution.
Oh - and my wife is happy with her new clearomizers and the Super T VapeMate. The C9V clearomizers are higher resistance than the ones she had before (3 Ohm compared to 2.5 Ohm) but provide similar amounts of vapour and throat hit. My wife likes the taste better though - and hopes that they are more reliable than her previous ones.
The VapeMate took one or two days to getting used to the handling, but now it works like a charm. She uses it in the "original" configuration without the tube and coupled with a LR 901 atty - just awesome. Sure, that thing is pricey, but the workmanship is great and it's very convenient.
That's it for now - and thanks for your great service, Lisa
Regards,
Martin
