The soup is actually butternut squash with spicy sausage.
However, it will take a while for the soup to come up to temperature since I am way too lazy to peel and cook squash and am using frozen and the level of the soup is way over the height of my bottles - what if I forgot to fish one out.

Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos discussion was on the effect of vapor when vaporized in an atomizer during the actual vaping process and not heat produced via steeping. These results were inconclusive and preliminary and the harmful biproducts produced were found to be much fewer and far lower in concentration when compared to cigarette smoke.

The actual discussion of the thread was not the effect of heat when steeping but the effect of wave frequency being harmful when steeping in an ultrasonic cleaner. It was debated that the wave frequency was changing the actual molecular composition of the mix and this unknow result may be an issue. The comments were speculitive and no hard facts or evidence were given to this conclusion.

Agree on all points, but why take a chance on high heat when medium heat will work equally well given some extra time. I recently steeped a juice in a thermos at 95-100 degrees overnight while sleeping, and the juice was almost done. Another few hours and I couldn't tell the difference with a juice done at 150. The heat loss in that thermos BTW was 5 degrees in 10 hours - thanks to the old technology of using glass - a much more effective insulator than the stainless steel in newer models.

PS. As to the video, I probably confused it with other parts of the thread discussing heat, but you are right, at this stage, everything is speculation - and that includes what you and I may believe.

You hit the nail on the head. Everything is speculative and we're talking about our health here so why take chances? Long-term studies that do provide the info we seek won't be avail in our lifetimes, we just have to face that fact. Studies on the effect of ultrasound on the unborn fetus have been going on for 50 years and there are still debates.

I have settled in on 90 degrees and mechanical stirring (tumbler, foot massager from thrift store, whatever) it works and the time required depends on your EXACT flavorings so you'll have to fine tune the approximate times given here. This is just my opinion!! But shaking and low temp has been good enough for the field of chemistry for hundreds of years, who am I to question it.

I've been waiting for a response from two speakers at the recent summit in the UK. A video was posted but later cropped and the videos all summarized. One response was that perhaps this forum would like to pay for studies! Not surprising. These guys need money too but money means nothing in regards to the long-term studies. The real research will be following the people on this website and tracking health effects. I can guarantee that before long people here will get inquiries from NIH and others, to fill out a survey.
