While we wait for a more informed reply, I always just prime the coil well, start at a low wattage, and inch the power up every few puffs over time.

Once I get what I want from it I stop turning up the power.

If it starts tasting a little burnt I turn it back down a bit, then I'm done. The vape matters more to me than the numbers. Cheers.

I did the same thing. I guess I'm just not gonna get what I want from it. I have no experience with coils that ohm out this high. I got it it up to 40 watts, and the vape was still cooler than I wanted, but any higher than that it starts to go dry. Dammit haha, well at least i didn't buy a 5 pack.

The 1.2Ω head recommended range (10w - 30w) is supposedly ss wire might try TC.
Using the 1.2Ω I had to reduce airflow considerably to raise vape temp & pull in enough liquid to prevent dryish low flavor hits & scorching the wicking material.
If you didn't properly prime the new / unused head and gave it a try above 20ish w it most likely scorched the wicking material. It will never wick correctly.
Higher power doesn't equal hotter vape or more flavor.

Pg/Vg ratio?
Colored, dark or sweet liquids?
the 1.2Ω doesn't last long at all with goopy gunky liquids.
IMO, the 1.2Ω doesn't wick well with high VG.
