Cthulhu tank - RTA
Just doing a quick review for those who have not heard of this tank.
I cant really compare this to anything else since this is my first RTA but here is my first impression.
Love and Hate It!
I have been using rdas for awhile now but like many others been looking for that right tank for the on the go situations like in the car driving. I was looking at the Goblin, subtank, artic tank and orchid and out of them the Cthulhu RTA stood out to me. So I read the good and the bad and decided to give it a shot.
Its very nicely made. (mostly) Like all my rdas I hand wash them and rinse them to get any machine oil off and with this tank reading possible metal shavings inside I did this twice before attempting to build. So all the parts are ready all nice and clean.
I make my normal coil setup 6wraps 26g almost always 0.4.. I usually like the hex screws as they seem to stay in the best out of my rda lineup. Get the coils lined up and screw them down.... screwing them down seemed like a never ending task. So I thought to myself maybe its some new innovative screw they made that just spins when fully tighten (yes makes no sense but....) all 4 post screws just spin!
Emailed the supplier who asked for pictures and videos... I sent them.... no response...
Emailed the company who makes them... they are aware and suggest I buy new screws 2m*4 and it should fit it..
So wel see I havent had the time to go to the BM to find those exact screws yet..
Overall you get what you pay for.... sometimes... I spent 30 bucks to go hunt down other parts to make it work... is it worth it ? nope.. is it worth the hassel for 30 bucks... not to me... but they lost all my future business.
As far as the tank itself.... I did manage to get it firing .4 and then .9 since the screws loose (yes not a good idea to do) but i wanted to see how this thing taste..... Well i was very happy with the taste and clouds... when it was hitn right at 0.4 on 35wats i was getn fantastic flavor and pretty nice clouds out if it... suprised me enough that im willing to go find those screws to make it work safely...
So overall if you want a on the go tank that has great clouds and flavor this might be for you if you get a good working unit.. if not ... well good luck
Pros-
Top fill tank no need to remove to refill
Nice build deck area
looks good
Cons-
bad screws
not the best service
