Thx Tpat! Thats very informative, ill try TC at 400f and gradually go up till the satisfying temp. I very mich appreciate ur feedback.

If u dont mind, i have 2Qs pls:
1. U mentioned that using TC would help with the coil's life span to go longer, how about the battery life?

2. when using TC @ 400-450f, how much W would the tank be pushing? From what i see, its at 75w (max) when at rest, but when firing it changes, and i wouldnt know what w since i wont be able to see the screen while vaping.

Again, thank u very much for ur usual great feedback.

So I was thinking about our conversation earlier and realized I never gave the Cupti CLOCC NiCr 1.5 ohm coil a go and remembered my buddy I left my second Cupti with to try on July10 returned it to me unopened about a week or so ago. Unpackaged that and set it up with NiCr coil and despite several clearings of resistance the darn thing kept reading the coil @ 0.58ohm. Vaped it that way in power mode for a few hours @ 25w and had a few semi dry hits along the way.

Tried again to clear resistance a few times & finally got it to read 1.5ohm so I could enter NiCr TC Mode (kept reading resistance too low prior). I will say that the airflow through the NiCr coil is much more open than the SS 0.5ohm CLOCC. Enjoying the airflow on this coil so much better and it does seem to drop applied wattage in TC mode to 22w-26w when vaping and I haven't had a dry hit in TC mode yet (but I did flood the coil after all the ins & outs resetting resistance to proper ohms & it took a half dozen or more hits to vape off the flooding-but that is my bad because I know better).

I'm gonna make a dedicated effort to use the NiCr TC mode to see if Kanger can do what they say they can do. I have my sincere doubts about this claim because Evolv can't TC a NiCr coil on any DNA board to my knowledge & make no such claim to be able to.

We'll see how it goes, but so far, so good. How accurate it will be cannot be tested with Cupti's configuration & remains to be seen.

NiCr TC update: After two tanks on NiCr TC I have to say that the Airflow, Taste & Vapor delivery are outstanding. The coils seem more prone to flooding on a fill but that may because of the number of times I have had to install, have Cupti read resistance wrong, & reinstall. For some reason Cupti repeatedly reads resistance of a 1.5ohm coil as 0.56-0.58ohm and will be way off in TC power application. Annoying as hell.

Usually have to pull, zero and reinstall stem over a half dozen times before display will read 1.5ohm and vape correctly. When the coil gets low there is a definite Overheated/Slightly Burnt taste that will indicate it is time to fill, so TC Does not seem reliable by any stretch of the imagination. It is an enjoyable vape while full and that greater Airflow through the DL coil Body is much better. I can see myself rebuilding these coil bodies w/ TC wire now that I have seen them recoiled in videos.

Ecig.com has dropped the price of Cupti down to $32.95 on regular sale. Add the 20% off "LABORDAY2016" and the price drops to $26.36 ea. for the Cupti Starter kit. Black, White & Red still in stock. You need $75 min order for free shipping.

Best price I've seen so far on it. Broke down & ordered 2 more myself.

Made it 10 days on the NiCr coil under TC. Had Cupti in my pocket while repairing a washing machine & heard it firing in my pocket when the cycle stopped. No idea how long it was activated, but the cotton is scorched (set at 460deg f and the tank was 3/4 full, Battery meter still shows a full charge & mod was not noticeably hot). Never should have scorched the cotton on a wet wick @ 460 if TC worked correctly so we know that Kanger's claim of NiCr TC is bull.

This isn't a surprising as I would start to get a burnt taste when juice dropped to the wicking holes in the tank. I never saw an actual quantifiable test in a review of NiCr TC on any Kanger mod by any reviewer before. Maybe DSLSB Vapes did one? Have to check, but after he blew the Nebox TC away in his full review of it Kanger did finally fix it, but I thought they stopped sending him units to review after that. Saw a few guys say Cupit did not burn cotton in NiCr TC on a dry coil, but if its doing it wet in my pocket, those claims are highly suspect.
