hey guys i got some new liquid in 24mg and this stuff seems extra strong to me although i typically vape 24mg .So i was curious about adding some VG to it to perhaps Tone it down some. But i am clueless as to what ratio to mix.I dont want to add to much and knock the flavor/Nic down way down so what would be good ratio to mix say a 5 ml bottle and stay around 20 mg nic.Like how much of the ejuice and how much Vg

take 4.2 ml of your 24mg juice and add .8ml of vg.. that should give you 5ml of 20mg juice. (and a lot of vapor!)

thanks for thread, i was interested in this myself. Picked up some VG at wallyworld 95% dont know if thats not good but i saw a few vids with ppl using it. I added 1 drop to an 6 drop cart just to try it out when i got it. It tasted very much like vasoline or something like that. I think the drop was too big and its also extremely thick and hard to pull up in my syringe. :glare: did produce big vapor tho

i got a odd taste right off the bat when i just added a drop or two into my cart i had my liquid in already kinda hard to describe not bad or nothing. But i suspect maybe where i added it straight on top of the fluid it was not mixed well enough .So i have a bottle i mixed like Donnah said and going to try it soon and see how it is and Hope i dont get a Vasoline taste you mentioned lol that would be awful

there's a free little program called "ejuicemeup" that includes a nic combine calculator tool. just google it and download it -- when you get it installed, go to "tools" and you'll see nic combine. it'll help you make sure you're getting the right proportions. I've used it to add plain vg to pre-mixed juices like you're doing...

I bought some glycerin from walgreens when i first started vaping and need to cut down the nic strength of pre bought juices, but it gave me an oily sensation in my mouth. Using products that actually state they are vegetable glycerin dont give that oily feeling.

Thank you for the info everyone, going to download that program forsure. My glycerin is made by humco and it says usp up in the corner. the active ingredients say Glycerin 99.5%
Anhydrous......skin protectant
At the time of my oily tasting test run i didnt have enough liquid in my bottles to mess around and waste any. Now i have enough to try a better test with actual mixing in a container with more specific amounts. The liquids i have now are doing just fine on their own without my tinkering but id like to know that i could do it and use this VG in the future for cutting. thanks again for the program info and general helpfulness!

Sounds like the right stuff.

Glycerine itself does have an oily taste. That's probably what you're tasting. Some describe it as waxy, which is how it comes off to me.

You might prefer to use pg rather than vg, too. USP pg can be found at most country feed & seed stores (it's used to treat ketosis in cattle). This is what I do when I just want to thin a juice. If I want to cut it without adding flavorings, I usually do so with a pg/vg blend of 80/20, but I wouldn't hesitate to use straight pg if I were out of vg.
