If only I could keep track of how many people say they're interested in vaping, especially at a bar...

this +

every time i'm asked about e-cigs by friends and randoms, i get a disturbed look at a $100+ start-up price tag, for all the necessities that a vaper would need. cartos/attys/tanks/batteires/chargers/mods... ect. (not referring to basic starter kits)
to which my response is... "how much are you paying a month for smokes?"
only to find out a few weeks later that they tried the convenience store brand, and that they "suck".
after i told them to stay away from crappy $20 kits....

all this has lead me to stop caring about informing the uninformed, or asking for the permission to vape.

I vape as i please, and will only put away my PV at the request of an employee of the establishment, out of respect.
I myself would hate to be an employee, who is just doing their job, getting slack from other customers because of my habbit.

The ONLY time i ask to vape, is when i am at a friends house, that is unaware of my vaping. and that is usually replied to by a smile.

My current response to any e-cig question is:
"Oh, you've heard of e-cigs, but want me to spend half hour at a bar explaining it to you? Have you ever heard of the internetz?"

Exactly where I'm at as well. People have to show a definite interest. I will give a basic explanation but nothing beyond that. I recently held a vape meet for friends that have shown a lot of interest and 80% of them showed up, and all of those that showed up are buying gear and juice.

Otherwise I tell people there is a learning curve, give them a vendor card and that's about it.
