Just a note - I looked up the Miro artwork and it's still under copyright. These are the same people who sued Google for making a tribute page to Miro for his birthday:

so I don't want to mess with them! Too bad - it was a great image. I did, however, find a beautiful image of the cave drawings at Lascaux that looks awesome on the gold case!

I played with the fine art and the images had to be so small to keep the proportions (they're only 1 3/4" high and 3-4" wide) they looked really bad. So I played around with using a part of the paintings - to get the best out of each, so they are unmistakable as the artist. What do you think?
Alll rightt! They look great now!

I hesitated a bit before posting that message about proportions... because I think it's my personal hypersensitivity to stretched arts
I see this is pretty common, in websites, especially when they stretch actual photos, so you see faces too slim/wide ughhh!:D

A very useful feature (in image-editing software) is to keep "shift" key pressed while resizing manually pics and others sort of control on image proportions. I see this shift-key thing in more than a program so i guess it's common, maybe Control key in GIMP2? i can't remember :)

Good job!

Do you have photos of the inside of the 5 inch, even if I really like the idea of the 7 inch with the two bottles.

These are really great

Will you do custom art?

I've ordered 7" and 5" blanks to make samples and will take pictures of the various available configurations of the interiors of both, once I have them complete.

The 5" will most likely come with 2-3ml bottles and space for 3 ecigs/batteries.

If you mean "custom" as in "special requests," yes! :D It'll be a $5 charge and you'll either have to give me a link to the requested artwork or email me the graphic/photo/logo.

It's OK - I never intended to sell them with stretched out artwork! :D

I threw these mockups together on my laptop paint program. My PC has a sophisticated photo editing program that I'll use for the actual artwork/faux finishes.

I'd love to hear some suggestions for artwork or finishes from everyone! I'm at a loss for what men would want, other than the wood, diamond plate, samurai or pin ups. I thought maybe the military logos would be popular? Also, anime, dragons, military stuff. I also found some surreal paintings by a 16th century artist - Hieronymus Bosch - really dark stuff. It has to be public domain stuff, because if I have to pay for them, that'll raise the price considerably. :( Any other suggestions for guys??

Duff, I found that carbon fiber sheet on ebay (had to wade through a lot of vinyl copycats) but it's 4mm thick! I'm not sure how that would look? Would you want it applied just like the finishes I've shown (in a rectangle) or did you want the whole thing coverd? My husband said it wouldn't work to cover the whole thing, but I could probably do it as an accent. It would be more, though, because those sheets aren't cheap and I don't know how many more I could sell.

Just a flat rectangular cf piece on top like the others would be fine. Or I could just buy my own off Ebay and get a blank one from you to save you any hassle...UNLESS a few more people want one as well...

OK, Duff - I'll see what I can do.

Well, I got the sample cases to day and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! I was a bit worried what the quality of the cases would be, but they are quite nice! They have a good weight to them, have a non-tarnish finish and are made in the U.S.

Another good surprise, is that 5" case does come in a 7/8" deep case (Serendipitiously ordered it, thinking I was getting the 5/8" deep one, so it was another pleasant surprice! So the 5" cases WILL hold the 6ml bottles! Yay!

The website is coming along nicely. The foam also arrived today. Just waiting on the lacquer and I'll be able to make up the samples. Although, now I'm missing the 7" case, so I'll have to order that tomorrow!

I'm going to have to do another poll then, before I make the bulk order, to get an idea of which cases people will want. I don't want to order 25-5" silver and evryone wants 7" gold!
