I'd love to hear some suggestions for artwork or finishes from everyone! I'm at a loss for what men would want, other than the wood, diamond plate, samurai or pin ups. I thought maybe the military logos would be popular? Also, anime, dragons, military stuff. I also found some surreal paintings by a 16th century artist - Hieronymus Bosch - really dark stuff. It has to be public domain stuff, because if I have to pay for them, that'll raise the price considerably. :( Any other suggestions for guys??

I'd be interested in seeing lacquered finishes (e.g. black, deep red, bright red, etc) in both enameled (i.e. fingerprint magnet) and matte. Also lightly rubberized black plastic such as on the top lids of Lenovo's T400/500 laptops. Probably not something you'd be prepared to offer in your premier lineup but maybe something you'd consider in one of your expansion phases. ;)

I think I'd like to get 1 ea of the 5" and 7" models. Depending on my budget at the time of availability I'd probably go the the 5" first for my Joye510s and Janty eGos.

Do you mean just a solid color, no other embellishments? I was planning on doing that. I don't know if I can do a matte finish - maybe if I lightly sand it after applying the finish...

The costs of these cases is more than anticipated, especially adding in the high quality foam and the shipping costs (forgot about shipping costs for materials.)

It looks like the 7" cases will retail at $34 (+$1 for tweezer option) and the 5" case will be $33 (+$1 for tweezer option)

There will NOT be a charge for customization of the foam or graphic anymore. This will be a free option now.

Also, (and I think this is worth the extra couple of bucks alone) there will be a Lifetime Warranty included, covering manufacturer & applique defects. Also, a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, offering a refund of the purchase price if returned within 15 days of purchase. There will also be a 6 month warranty covering accidental damage, which offers a one-time replacement during the first 6 months for any damage!

And if these really take off and I can afford to purchase larger amounts of cases, I'll be able to reduce the price further.

Yes, solid colors alone (or with optional embellishments). Also, I think I meant lacquered finish vs enamel. You know, glossy hard plastic like ABS phones or whatever.

One question - being too lazy at the moment to re-read the thread, I've forgotten what you intend to do regarding the foam e.g. precut cutout shapes or like those camera cases where the foam is precut into small cubes that you pull out or remove to fit the desired shapes of the accessories and whatnot. It it's just one solid body of foam that simply compresses around the objects when you close the case then won't there be a possibility of manual battery buttons being pressed, even if turned to the side/horizontal on the foam prior to closing? Would seem that a slot in the foam would need to be cut allowing to sink the batts down into the foam with the buttons oriented vertically/up-and-down and DEEP enough so that the top of the button was well below the surface of the foam. Just thinking/wondering out loud.

I tried the web address from a couple pages ago (vapeboxz.com) and got a warning message. Is the site up yet?
No, I haven't made it live yet. I have to wait until I get the interior layout photos and I don't have the high-end foam or the 7" cases yet. Hopefully by the end of this week! :)

All valid points and I've been working on it. That is one reason why I needed to change foam - the first one I bought was too firm. This new foam is a low density and will be soft enough and thin enough to not turn on the manual batteries. I'm also planning on precut slots, but someone will be able to order any configuration they like. - full foam or with the cutouts they want.

The finish is a clear, dimensional lacquer over the color or graphic - it's "enamel-like" not an actual enamel. It will be hand-applied.

Just finally got the 7" sample cases in today. I'm now working on the graphics. I have to find JPGs that are high enough resolution that I can make at least 4.5" X 1.6". I have to make sure all of the graphics I found will work at that size, without losing resolution, before I post them as available on the site as an option. So, I'll be working on them more this week. Unfortunately that pushes back the store opening until next week. I also need to order the tweezers and find a new lid liner (I bought black felt, but it looks too cheap and doesn't show the gold ink logo well.)

Getting really close!!

I spent today sizing the images for the cases & trying different foam layouts. You can get a lot of stuff in the 7" cases!

Used my 5" cample case this weekend when my husband and I went out for the evening. So nice to have the little bottles of liquid in the case and plenty of charged batteries. We had about 8 groups of people approach us about vaping!

Going tomorrow to pick up some paint and extra supplies, stop by the post office to get shipping costs and we should be good to go by the end of the week!
