I can't explain the possessed battery, but I did have a multi Email conversation with Red and Chris today, plus got an order update at about 5PM....

Yikes! That does sound possessed. I could understand a carto making weird noises, but not the battery. That doesn't sound good at all. The addresses look OK, so I can't see why they would be sent back undeliverable. Maybe send a PM to Redemption if you still don't have luck with it in the morning. Or maybe Leaford will wander in here tonite and help somehow.
maybe it's just having a panic attack, try feeding it some chamomile and reading some poetry to it, if it still crackles and hisses you might have to put it to sleep.

As for being possessed, let me reassure you; protecting against demonic posession is one of our extensive QC steps. The assembly line is within a ley-line warding circle, and every shipment is proactively exorcised by fully certified and licensed witches before going out the door, just in case. So, I think the problem is more likely to be electronics related. 
Of course, we cannot guarantee against posession once it leaves our warehouse. Are your household wards updated with the latest anti-demonic virus updates?

Yeah, I started reading the series months ago, and somehow thought I had gotten to the last one, but I was checking for new titles and realized I'd left off before For a Few Demon's More, so I'm on that one now.
Great Series by the way. Have you read Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files? How about Mario Acevedo's books?
I've been meaning to check out The Dresden Files. They're on Baen's webscriptions, right? Haven't heard of the other author.
I'm pretty particular about Vampires. I'm only into them if they're part of a good, well rounded Urban Fantasy melieu. My favorite was Mercedes Lackey's Diana Tregarde series, which I really wish she hadn't had to drop. I tried Tanya Huff's series and just couldn't get into it though. Too vamp-centric.
I will vouch for the Dresden series by Jim Butcher. Excellent reading. You'll love the main character. He is kinda like a Dr. House, only as a magician.
