The main character is an Iraq Vet who was bitten by a Vampire during Desert Storm. He is now a Vampire PI.

Naw, sorry, doesn't sound like my thing. Vampires in modern fiction for the most part lose my interest faster than anything. A magical setting that happens to include vampires is OK, but a story revolving around vampires is boring. And you just KNOW there's going to be a brooding vampire with a noble soul. I hate brooding vampires with noble souls. It's always just a Harlequin novel hero dressed up with fangs. A brooding pirate/highwayman/thief/ruthless businessman/whatEVER with a noble soul. Bleah.

Although I'll admit the titles sound interesting. SOmething like From Dusk till Dawn?

OMG I love vampire books! Especially the Darkhunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon but mine probably are a bit more on the romance/smutty side of things. LOL But wow I have never met a man that read actual books, all the men I know might read the 'caption' under the picture but that is about it. So I'm impressed with all of you.

I'm glad protecting against demonic forces is a service you provide.
Could you see into the future and let me know how long its going to take for an eig to be processed, inspected and returned with a replacement?

No worries- I ordered from another vendor in the meantime...
Have to say, what with the miracle of email, CS can get back to you in about a day!
Jacatro, I got your PM and passed it along to Reddy. Sorry, I didn't understand from the PM that you WERE using @bloogplanet, I thought you used @bloog; ignore my correction on that.

As for being possessed, let me reassure you; protecting against demonic posession is one of our extensive QC steps. The assembly line is within a ley-line warding circle, and every shipment is proactively exorcised by fully certified and licensed witches before going out the door, just in case. So, I think the problem is more likely to be electronics related. ;)

Of course, we cannot guarantee against posession once it leaves our warehouse. Are your household wards updated with the latest anti-demonic virus updates?

(Sorry, I've been reading Kim Harrison's The Hollows series lately and couldn't resist.)

LOL It is better than the movies. When is his birthday?

I don't think I ever read a comment so false. Those books were utter garbage. I read a lot. I mean a lot. I have over 6000 ebooks on my ipad, 150 on my Kindle. Plus actual Hardcover and softcover which I donated, give away etc.

Twilight was one of the only ones I only read 1/3 of and threw away. Literally threw it in the garbage. So badly written my eyes gagged.

And its not because it was young teen (girl) fiction because when I was a teen I read "Are you there God its my Margret" which is basically a book (if I remember correctly) about a girl getting her period.

I didn't say they were great literature, just that they are better than the movies that were made. Which most books are better than the movie. I also have a kindle and love reading other works of not great literature but they interest me. I read Twilight to see what all the fuss was about and at that time I had stopped reading because books had just become so mundane and repetitive to me but that series renewed my love of reading. ;) All twilight did accomplish was to get younger people reading again. My sons never did like reading until Twilight now they have moved on to Eragon Series and Percy Jackson books which is a good thing.

I'll admit to reading the first 2 twilight books. The first one was pretty tepid, even compared to the movie. 2nd was a little better. I will say that there are much better young adult books, and I don't use their intended audience as a point of criticism. Example, read the hunger games and got sucked in the series, MUCH better writing than twilight even though intended for a similar audience. (I think I have the series in ebooks if anybody wants it shoot me a pm)

And lest any real readers jump on me, I have a young daughter and try to be able to relate as much as I can. The vast majority of my reading would probably bore the snot out of most. I read science textbooks for fun. Obscure books on economic theory. I love biographies of non-famous people I've never heard of, and likely won't ever again. Social commentary and political theory, the more extreme the better from either "wing". Probably 90% non-fiction, so a little light young adult fiction ain't so bad for a break.

A long time ago I did read the Anne Rice novels, both the vampires series (most of it anyway, it got too damn weird for me) and the Witches series. My wife read those as well. It was a real treat for me when she had finished a reading session.

I was reading the Anita Blake series until it became more porn than plot. When I am reading a book I do expect something more to happen than an orgy. If I want that, I go elsewhere.

I got a couple books into Rice's vamp series. Rather well written, but descriptive to a fault. One of only 3 books I didn't finish reading, just cuz I got mad at her. The story line was bopping along, and someone walks in the room. She starts describing them. In depth. And more depth. A 500 year history, 100 pages later and we're back to them walking in the room I had forgotten about. Dropped the book on the spot and didn't pick it up again, I hold grudges pretty hard against artists who suck me in then don't make my cut. It's one thing if I just don't like their art from the beginning, but once I do, it's mine, I'm invested and I own it, and for them to go and ruin it for me is unforgivable! I even turned off NPR when she was being interviewed last year about her religion or something!

Warning to bloog, I consider you artists, and I like it, don't screw anything up!
