Customisation is easy BUT there is a cost !
Take My transparent tube .
To have just 1 made i was quoted £130 thats about $210
So to get the cost down I had 20 made at £31 about $53
I took the risk because I gambled on that they would sell and they did .
Quantity is the KEY
If i asked for 5000 I could prob get down to £6 = approx $10 ea
Could I sell 5000 ? prob not
So if I or anyone else produces a Gold Tinted ZEBRA Striped with Pink Dots Tranparent Tube the person who wanted it may like it BUT
how many would I sell ? Prob only 1
so the price for that 1 would be £150 = $300
So if you want one $300 and its yours .
Order 5000 @ $10 and they are all yours because no one else is gonna buy one !
These prices are just random examples they arent true prices , just so you get the jist
The more the quantity the lower the cost of each unit .
CAN IT BE DONE ?
WILL IT SELL ?
QUANTITY ?
= PRICE PER UNIT

very ,very well said

After seeing salt's very nice Nickel Plated GGTS ... I say All Nickel Plated and a Nickel Plated w/ Brass FTW !!!

Heres why:

1) it has the weight of Stainless Steel, I want.
2) it feels and looks classy. It actually feels and looks expensive ... especially when you add a few brass pieces
3) It looks like you dont ever have to polish the thing...
4) It just look absolutely gorgeous!!! salt's one lucky man

If you dont do this Imeo; I might have to talk to a few buddies of mine that can Nickel Plate and make my #888 Nickel Plated... Because I know how expensive you told me it ... the first 2 cost...

Its not the nickel that cost so much buddy, its the fact that I made only 2 of them. As for your GG of course can be nickel-plated but it will not last too long because its made from aluminium.

I agree that nickel -plated GG is very good looking, classy and no need of meintenance, it has exxelent contactivity but its heavy. Maybe you and salt really like it but not all people. But I will do it as an option buddy

I have to bring this up again as I really don't want it to lose momentum. I see all these polls going on...nickel-plated or brass, 901 or 510. Obviously, people want different things and there is only one way to please everyone...let each person decide on what they want and build it. Imeo, PLEASE consider moving your GG product line to full customization. I would really love to be able to pick out my metals, buttons, add-ons, etc. with 1 purchase. I can guarantee that you will have fully satisfied customers and a lot more money in your pocket! It's a win-win for everyone here and I hope this thread will bring out people who are interested. Please reply "yes" and any additional ideas on how this could be improved upon from the suppliers down to the different customized options so we can use it as a guideline for implementing this idea quickly.

It is a great idea, If Imeo had a bunch of employees working for him. That will increase the cost by a lot also. The bulk pricing to have one GG made to one spec, go's right out the window. I could see maybe choice of 901 or 510 connection... but choosing your metal ... just aint gonna happen. It is a great thing, dont get me wrong, but it just would take so much more time and money.... Imeo is already swamped as it is....

I was first attracted to the GG when Imeo produced the Grant, and the reason was that it was, compared to everything else on the market, a work of art. Being female, I just didnt want all my ecigs to be boring, and have no style about them. In Cigarette terms the GG was the Sobranie, of the ecig world.

Then the GG Transformer was created by Imeo, and we all wanted even more artistry from Imeo, we asked him, just as you have done now, to make it in different metals.

After much debate Stainless Steel was ruled out due to the weight, but it was agreed, that Aircraft grade Aluminium would be used to lighten the weight, and then Brass end caps could be added, so a two tone affect would be added to the range. And to top it off, the logo was changed to fine italic script, my idea, remember Imeo? which is still in place today.

Imeo, hasnt changed since those days, he still tries hard to please every single one of his customers, and does a good job of it, but, he has a full time job, as well as doing all he can to produce the GG range, and we have to keep that in mind at all times.

I'm not saying the GG shouldnt evolve, of course it should progress, it's still a beautiful work of art, but I would expect the Nickel plated ones to be just for the collectors, as many people out there have Nickel allergies and wouldnt be keen.

I know a few folk have asked for precious metals, such as Silver and Gold plating, some even have asked for solid Gold...lol.

It's also been suggested that the GG is sent out in pieces as Imeo's grip is too strong. I agree his grip is too strong, as I am having to buy a new switch, as I cant unlock the locking nut...lol, but, my one concern over sending it out in bits, would be that bits can get lost or not put into the packages in the first place. So, personally, I would rather buy a new bit, than have a bit missing.

So, my suggestion at the end of all that rambling, is to forget all this, and let Imeo concentrate on new designs, as I really want to see a GG with Victorian elegance appearing one day, and new ideas to make AVS even better than it is today.

Hopefull, anyone can make a mistake, or something small can get lodged in packaging and end up being thrown away, its happened to us all. I think the compromise would be to not tighten everything, but, then, someone would use it, without reading instructions to tighten first. You cant keep everyone happy..

Please dont think I was saying Vendors would make mistakes with packaging, that wasnt what I meant at all. All the GG re-sellers have done a wonderful job, all had passion for the product, and all have been willing to teach and help every customer, so I dont think you or any of those past and present, would hear any complaints.

I agree with you, it would be wonderful for Vendors to continually have stock, but to accomplish that mass production would have to take place, and no one really wants to see that happen. The demand for the GG just gets higher and higher.

I also agree, priority has to go to keeping stock available for sale, and if there is any time left to Imeo, then look at new ventures. But, until there are more than 24 hours in a day, we have to accept things the way they are.

And as customers, we have to understand that. I bought my first GG 18 months ago, not a long time, but in the world of ecigs thats a lifetime, and I know I will have to wait patiently for any new designs, and am happy to do so.

hahaha... you see, you are not immune.... but best to get them over with all at once...

It's my own stupidity at times that worries me, you know the sort of thing, when the obvious, isnt obvious..

For example, I had a small bottle of flavouring, and there were dregs at the bottom, so I inserted a syringe through the dropper and wondered why I was having a hell of a job sucking the liquid up. After doing this same thing over and over for months, I watched someone on a video, sucking juice out of a tiny bottle, using a syringe, and he simply turned it upside down.....now why didnt I think of that....
