Question for the Provarinati! Where does one find the top ring (beauty ring?) so that a 22 mm atty will look flush on a Provi 2.5?

Aha! Reason #1 I soured on my ProVari. Those tubular ones were really designed with cartomizers in mind. As soon as new clearos and tanks became wider, we encountered the dreaded overhang problems. I even got a few of those beauty rings, but they didn't work well for me at all, including the one sold by ProVari. Too bad I sold them together with my ProVi, or I would send them to you.... :(

Your best bet, dear Brew B, might just be to put up a WTB at this point. I sense that the beauty rings are beginning to dinosaur it.

Agreed.

Cordiali saluti.

Very little. I think @Katdarling had just one previous order with them. No issues with the order, but not much of a sample to work with. I doubt she'll come in with a "strong' recommendation, but we were okay with our limited experience (knock wood).

If I were buying today, I'd probably go to MyFreedomSmokes and pay a bit more. It would get to you in a few days, while ours should arrive sometime early March.

I think I saw a code (this thread, maybe?) that brought the price to around $25(ish).

I bought the Fresia on Feb. 2, through VapeSourcing, so it's been a full month.

In checking tracking, it's in Singapore atm, waiting to get on a boat.

So... it's likely another month out. I would spend more next time for a different vendor. Even FastTech is faster...

I'm so sorry, Opinionated... That's just ridiculous. I placed two orders during the Chinese New Year, from FT and 3FV respectively, and both are already here. Interestingly, my 3FV order was stuck in LA customs for a week, while FT order sailed through customs without any delays. Go figure.

Ahh it's life. We live, we learn... nothing to be sorry for. Even if they never actually give me the RTA I'm not out very much, so I'll wait longer..

I usually use Chinese vendors as happy little gifts we get after forgetting we even ordered them.. hahaha, no sense stopping that habit now..

I just can't chime in on how it vapes yet, which is a sad..

Lol.. read the first page on this thread, and skipped to the last page. I hope all has been positive about this atomizer. I've been desperately looking for something to replace my goblin mini. I am tired of the fill screw. I don't mind a small build deck, I wouldn't mind a 2ml capacity if it had top fill, and I usually vape on the lower side with a restrictive lung hit. There have been several that almost hit the mark, but went to the trash bin... the geekvape merlin had a press fit that kept coming un-press fit--trash. the smok spirals with the RTA deck was awesome until I stripped the base screws--trash. I have a Sigeli moonshot that works good... except the center pin is flush with the 510 threads, so it doesn't work with most of my atomizers... so it's mostly collecting dust.

This looks like something I'd be willing to give a shot at.

I like shopping around trying out new suppliers. Just ordered 5 items from a new place... LegendGadget. I was pleasantly surprised when they sent everything in quick time...better prices to. I ordered the morning and they sent me a shipping mail by that evening...very impressive.
Don't know if it helped but I had a row with them because they didn't send me a email notification that they received my order. That freaked me out and got me worried. In the end I told them i'm a buyer for a chain of vape stores and i'm trying them out for the first time...:w00t:

@AngeNZ made a thread for RL, RTA's and there are several new choices listed in that thread.

Apparently Hastur has a fix so the glass is seated (I have the new fix on order atm, not in hand yet) but I love love love the vape on the OG Hastur so the new fix is a hopeful moment.

The new Silverplay has awesome flavor..(little old school on building though)

Then there is this Fresia, of course.

And I think the Serpent elevate? not sure on that name or what people thought of it but every one has been talking about all the new RL stuff out there..

you should check out that thread..

I'll definitely give it a look at. For over 7 years, I've seen the vaping industry go for more and more vapor. Each new atomizer was more about getting more vapor. I went up the ladder to cigalikes, CE4/5, Kayfun Lite, Taifun GT2, One other I cannot think of the name, but am looking at atm that was like a dual coil Kayfun lite, to the goblin mini.... and that's where my vaping ladder stopped. I did get a smok TFV4, and although I loved the new (back then) top fill section and the build quality, but I thought it was way too big and way too much vapor. The rebuild kit for the TFV4 was horrible. I have been waiting for a top fill section for a restricted lung hit, but that goes back to all the fails I mentioned earlier. In the meantime, I have three goblin minis, but I've had to buy the other two just because I lost the fill screw and needed new O-rings. But yes, same atomizer as my main for years, and it's been through literal gallons of Ejuice.

Just the past few months, I've noticed a slight spike in the amount of new restrictive lung hits. I think it might be because of the recent rise in pod systems. I'm just keeping an eye on the industry, and I'm hoping a few new atomizers, but most of them have been rehashes of older styles with poor build quality (Merlin) or they lack of support for repair pieces (spirals).

    @Opinionated and @Fredman1

    :tumble:

No verdict yet--still playing with it. Do your tails touch the deck? Did you fluff them much? Thin them? Or just shoved them in--my preferred method of wicking? :D

First wick was rayon, thinned, shoved and just touching the deck - that behaved :thumb:

Now testing cotton, thinned a wee bit (kendo gold so already fluffed), shoved, poked and barely touching the deck - I'll let you know the verdict ;)

Other RTAs that come to mind, apart from what @Opinionated has suggested would be the augvape intake RTA - I haven't tried it, but lots of ppl love it for a restricted lung vape. Also there's the Evl Reaper RTA - the DL version comes with a 2.7mm airflow insert.

Tho, it sure is a guzzler. It's sort of a 2ml = 15 minutes tank.
Seems to be thirstier using cotton? No idea why

    Yep.

My :2c:: Nice tank, nice vape, easy to coil even with the smallish deck, AF works fine. However, even with my MTL build (~1Ω. 28 g Kanthal, 2.5 mm, KGD cotton) and low wattage, the juice consumption is higher than it should be. It's not like I'm chucking clouds. I only used the 2 ml tank, BTW. I'm already tired of refilling it--and since I don't like my tanks to get really low at any given time, it seems like I have to top it off constantly. I'll try the 3 ml glass later.

Is it better than my other favorite tanks? Hard to tell, but it's certainly more work.

    Next stop Hastur?

No I'm not. I loved my mini 2.5 with blue LED. Back when. ;)

Seriously, I have absolutely nothing against ProVari and I was sad to see them go. Really truly.

You know I was just joshing. Never take me seriously (of ALL people). ;)

    :eek:ptimistically yours:

ALso keep an eye on eBay, with particular close attention to the seller named, "provape_parts".

Yeah. We ended up cancelling the China, and just paid for the MyFreedomSmokes ones. I sometimes (<operative word) have issues with patience.

I already bought spare springs and a couple of "Provarinati" caps from him. Thanks for the tip.
I just couldn't look at it.
Simple solution, close your eyes and enjoy the extra juice in the tank. It could be difficult driving and vaping.....
