My son's third Christmas I went a little nuts...
He was a very VERY tactile child, and loved exploring everything in the house. I think the kitchen knives stayed on top of the fridge that whole year LOL.
Anyway, his stocking that year included such items as a roll of bubble wrap, a whole coconut, and every funky little dollar store toy I could find. It took him an hour to go through it all, squealing with delight at the coconut (even though he had NO idea what it was, he loved the feel of it!!) and gleefully stomping every bit of the bubble wrap before he would even consider moving on to the treasures hidden farther down. I had so much fun watching that innocent joy, recapturing just a little bit of my own childhood in the process!
Note to parents who want to do this: don't "ruin" the coconut by splitting it, even if they really do want to know what's inside!!
