Day 1 newb observations

Can't say enough good things about V4L and my experience with them so far. I'll just say they have a customer 4 life . Just glad I found this forum before I made a mistake. Anyway, got my Vapor King mini kit pass-thru in record time. Yesterday was day one or half a day and I had no idea what to expect. Honestly having never tried a E-cig b4, I had no expectations but was hopeful. At first I had to break in the cart (having read in the forum how to do this) found it was no problem and was vaping away in no time. The flavor I choose was cowboy 18mg (thinking it had to be close to win or mals) with a name like cowboy, lol.. I found it had a nutty taste, not over whelming but noticeable to a 2 pack a day win smoker. I will have to experiment with the flavors. It did take me a little bit to get the "draw" down and once I did it was even better.
Side note: Y'all might find this funny. I didn't tell the wife anything about the vaping or that I had ordered a kit. So when she gets home she looks at me (a double take, as there was a cord running down from my mouth) and asks "what the hell are you doing". After I finished laughing from the look on her face, I shoulda took a pic.... I explained what it was etc. Then I asked her if she wanted to try it? Her reply was SURE. It was fun watching her as I had a whole maybe 3 hours experience, lol.. She is a very light smoker, maybe a pack or two a week. Fist words outta her mouth was it tastes grapey. lol..
This was all day number 1. She took a few more draws through the night but I was really loving it. Not having to go outside every 30 min. or so. And only wound up smoking 5 analogs myself the rest of the evening. I've been blown away in a puff of vapor since screwing in the cart.

I have had one bad experience with them but I don't really know the whole story of what happened to my order. Plus I couldn't really get mad at them because they have agreed to fix an order free of charge AND they keep sending me FREE gifts! V4L is definitely the Top on my Buy From list.

If you like the Cowboy i Recommend the 555, It also has a lil nutty taste to it. I love it and my co-workers that all smoke Marborl all enjoy it as well.

I got a buncha flavors with my first order, and was surprised to find that I didn't dig the tobacco flavors at all - a shame since we got a bunch of them. I am enjoying the premium choc-banana, though, and the clove is making me very happy too.

Don't be afraid to try flavors that don't sound instantly appealing - it's not like smoking and the flavors you expect to like and the flavors you actually like can be two completely different things!

I am on my second day and I am SO happy i found V4L! This is not my first go at quitting and this has been so much easier than the first time. I used patches and i had a really hard time. The worst of my issues was that i was angry all the time because i wanted to smoke. With the V4L e-cigs, my biggest benifit, besides quitting analogs of course, has been the fact that i dont want to rip anyones head off! I dont miss my camel crushes at all. I dont stink, my clothes dont stink, and my mouth dosent taste like an ashtray!

I am very happy with my smoke free life and i never thought it would be so easy.

I still cannot start a new thread so I have to reply to one to ask my questions.

I received my first kit a week ago ... ordered too low mg so I did not get to quit right away but I have my new order with higher nic and so far today I am smoke free!! I do not even feel crabby!

Anyway here are my questions so far:

1) I ordered some empty carts, how long do these last... how often can you refill them before they should be thrown away? I know with the prefilled carts you should only refill 2-3 times.

2) My husband brought up a point because I want to refill carts using the cap/condom refill method...(did I say that right?)...anyway you insert the mouth-side down and slowly push in and down to refill... but he is concerned about nicotine being absorbed into the paper on that side where you will be putting your mouth... I told him we would clean / wipe it off with a damp rag but he seems to think some will get absorbed in the paper and it could be dangerous? What are your thoughts on this?

3) Typically and on the low side - a cart is worth about how many analog cigs? I have read 15-20 cigs... but that seems on the high side -- what do some of you experienced long time users tend to think? I have sold 3 people on this so far and I just want to really tell them honestly what I think. So far I have been saying about 15.

4) I thought I read somewhere that while manual batteriest are preferred by many... some say they are more dangerous... what do some of you mean by this ... what can happen and how do I prevent it? I always take the carts off when I am not using them.

I think it's good that you posted your concerns - my experience with new users is that they're often simply afraid. With cigarettes we irrationally override a million well-known horrible and fearsome facts, simply because they're familiar. The unfamiliar feels worrisome no matter what.

Someone else might better answer your question about how long you can keep a frequently blank refilled cart going - if you don't ever let it dry out it seems to go for days. I just sort of leave 'em somewhere eventually as I get tired of that taste and don't know when they're actually shot.

I wipe off the end after filling with the condom method, but because it tastes ucky - honestly, you'd not be getting NEAR enough nicotine on your lips to cause any trouble. Remember, it's very diluted, not raw nicotine at all. I used to be anxious about that but I've managed to spill it on my hands, have overfilled and got it on my tongue, etc.- nothing whatsoever happens. Think of swallowing a few tiny crumbs of cig tobacco, sans whatever that's jacked up with. Someone else can give you better actual numbers on that.

I was a 2 - 3 1/2 pack a day person, and I tend to chain vape. Two - 3 carts a day untopped holds me fine, 4 on a solid chain at home day maybe. I change flavors a lot... sometimes a little hard to keep track. On the passthru they go faster. I think it also depends on how you vape... some people pull for huge vapor. Dunno what other's experience is, it really varies.

I don't think that V4L manual batts are dangerous at all. I've heard of the big mods exploding when badly misused - is that what you heard maybe? If you left a cart on and put one in your pocket so that the button was depressed and it just cooked away until it got really hot and burnt the wicking you'd have a burnt bottom... anyone else heard of anything dangerous here?

That's one thing I worried about. I ordered a manual battery with my VK kit (Hopefully here Monday!) and I was thinking about whether or not it would turn on in my pocket, I know it has a cutoff but 13 seconds is a long time for it to just cook in my pocket.
Soooo excited for my kit to get here, been reading about VKs for the last like 3 days, ordered it after being quite disappointed with my first E-cig, the Volcano l88b model. Oh and of course I'm happy they can actually ship it to my location with no problem.

Dont worry about getting a tiny bit of liquid on you,the condom refill is great and just wipe the end after.I only use manuals and I havent had any dangerous problems at all.I really love the xlongs.Im not sure what a cart is supposed to be but I think 10-15 is fair.I use 1 cart and just refill or top off through out the day.
