So yesterday I picked up an njoy King (low nicotine version) and here I am ... made it over that 24 hour mark of not smoking a cig. NEVER thought I could do that.

Advice please ... do I have a better chance of sticking to this if I invest in a kit? I really know nothing about it. I read up a bit on ecigs a while ago and three weeks with bronchitis led me to realize smoking just isn't making sense any more. I really want to keep this up ... and I like the njoy. I'm only taking a few puffs ... but feel like I want to puff a bit more than I normally did with analogs.

Any suggestions ... I don't even understand so much how the kits work  I'm glad I found this site. I feel like you are all out there on my side. To just get rid of stupid parliament 100's forever!!!!

Welcome and Well Done! Woot! :toast: It is absolutely fine to puff more with e-cigs because you're not absorbing the same degree of nicotine as from a lit cigarette. While all the nasty stuff in the average "coffin nail" kicks in immediately, it can take about 10 minutes for an e-cig to achieve a feeling of "Great, that's the nicotine deficit taken care of". Go ahead and puff as much as you want. The other key is that while the over the counted e-cigs look similar to a cigarette, the technique for the puff is a bit different. Take a couple of drags, hold in your mouth for a couple seconds - then inhale if you do that (some do, some do't), then release the vapor through your nose as well as your mouth. Holding the vapor in your mouth (like smoking a pipe) and releasing through the nose allows the nicotine to absorb better. Hope that helps. :)

I struggled with the whole should I get the ones that look like a real cigarette or the other kind, too. The kits won me over because of the variety of flavors and its just that much different than the real thing that I won't be tempted to pick em back up again. It takes a while to get used to something like an ego cause they're heavier, it can't just barely dangle out of your mouth and/or hand but after 8 days, I'm happy with my choice. Find what's best for you and I hope you can stick with it. :)

Congrats!!! A kit, basically, has everything you need to get started. There are a TON of them out there. When I started, I found Totally Wicked (totallywickedeliquid.com) and started with the kit that looked like a cigarette, the "Titan". I really wish I had started with the "Tornado" kit (same as Ego on other sites), but that cigarette size was really important to me at first. I liked their forums and customer service and found I could upgrade to better, bigger kits as I started to get more into vaping. The kit will have batteries, charger, atomizers, and prefilled cartridges for the most part. You would probably also want to buy some empty cartridges and a couple of flavors of eliquid that you think you might like.

You can build your own kit buy buying the items separately, and it might even save you a few bucks. But it was easier for me to just order the kit and add to it as my experience grew.

Congrats and good luck!

hello Kim and welcome to the ECF and the whole new adventure you have embarked on by choosing to be a Vaper. not only is Vaping going to change your life its going to reduce alot of health risks.

Get ready for a small learning curve and a lesson in terminology...stick with it and learn as much as you can.

We all got here in our own way My story is much like yours with a cigalike...you, like most of us did, will soon realize that there are "better" systems and devises ahead but dont get caught up in all that yet unless you get to the point where your Blu is not working for you anymore or your batteries wear out to soon.

enjoy your new adventure and get some flavors...cigs were never this fun!!
