Well, my eGo arrived 3 days ago and I'm about to enter my 4th day in trying to cut down on the analogue's. So far it has been working out pretty good. I am very impressed that the throat hit is very close to the real thing. I was a pack a day smoker and the 1st day I had about 8 cigs, 2nd day - 5 cigs, 3rd day - 3 cigs! I am very determined to cut analogues out of my life and I think this is the best thing to ever come along to help someone quit. I am assuming its the tobacco industry in general that are keeping these things from becoming available for sale everywhere. I will be doing my part in spreading the word as everyone that is close to me that smokes will be getting an eGo for Xmas!

I went out and ordered a bunch of liquids and have yet to decide on one. I am still learning lots through this forum, youtube, etc. I am still finding myself craving a real cig from time to time, but afterwards I think to myself that it wasn't that big of a deal. I went with 25Mg nic levels, I am wondering how long I should stay at that level before I try a lower level. I am kinda of thinking that if I can eliminate analogue's completely at 25Mg, than I can worry about reducing the nic level later.

I have been vaping for over a YEAR and use an eGo Pasthough with Low Resistance Clearomizers or Fluxomizers both. I had a hard time quitting the real ciggs for the longest! Personally I was a MENTHOL smoker for 15 years and the thing that saved me??? NuPort mixed with Myboro from myPVshop.com Electronic Cigarettes - Buy online from our retail shop . That menthol flavor hit that spot for me and I will never be without it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! As with most menthol juices it simply didn't have enough Tobacco flavor for me, but mixed with the Myboro?!?! FANTASTIC! I haven't had an analog in .... 2 weeks! The longest I've gone in a YEAR!
So far DIY mixing for liquids has been my key. I tried a few flavors from BlueMistVaping.com and was hooked! Peanutbutter Cup, Blueberry Muffin, Belgian Waffle and Watermelon so far are my favs! DIY is not for everyone and as a beginner you may not want to go there but order some of their PreMixed flavors, they are really good by my taste and reasonable in price! PLUS I need all VG because I am allergic to PG and they have it! So I am REALLY stoked!

At the rate that you're reducing your cigs, I'd stay at that nic level for the time being. Once you find that the cigs no longer 'call' ya, then think about lowering the nic, IF ya want. Also when ya get the craving, try vaping first. If you still feel the need, then don't beat yourself up over having an analog.

You're well on da way to a 'bakky free future! thumbsup.gif

Today will be a tough day seeing how it is NFL Sunday and I like to consume lots of beer for the weekly occasion! I find that beer, football, and smokes have always gone hand in hand for me. My wife has not taken to the eCig quite as quickly and I am certain that she'll be coming back with a fresh pack of cigs.

I've taken to the sweet flavors right away (cafe mocha is the best so far), her not as much. I am loading her up now with a tobacco like blend to see if that does the trick for her. This forum is great, thx for all the support, tips, insight, experiences, etc.!

You're doing great ! :) First things first. Right now only focus on getting rid of those cigs and later you can work toward reducing your nic level if you wish.

When you are ready to do that get some 18 mg juice and work that into your day by first using it part of your day and as the days go on more and more of the day until it becomes your norm. Nothing wrong with an occasional few minutes of vaping the higher level if you need it but after a while the lower level will become your norm and if you wish you can again start to reduce that 18 mg down to 12 just like you did with the 25 mg level.

So I am now at day 9 and counting...
It has been 6 days since my last analoge...
Now what...

I am determined to not touch them again, and I am working hard to avoid all temptation!!! I've been vaping like crazy and despite all the many flavors purchased, I think that my fav is a coffee like blend due to taste and the hit sensation. What can I expect next in this journey? I still mentally crave the cancer sticks, but I believe that I can contain the physical need. Should I expect it to get even easier in week 2, or is the craving level that I am at now to be expected for a long time and I simply need to make it the new normal?

The phlegm and coughing is reducing. I've not noticed more energy or extra taste yet, but perhaps that will come with time. Anaolges do some long term things to your body and I suspect it will take time to reverse the damage! Thoughts?

That's awesome! Congratulations :D
I read a thread a couple days ago about a guy trying to get his spouse to switch to e-Cigs but the flavor was keeping her from sticking with it as well. Someone recommended he try to give her be oh Be's OMG! from Kick Bass Vapor and he reported a week later she was hooked and never went back to analogs, haha. Sorry I cant direct you to exactly where I read it but I have read at least a 1000 threads the past few days. After reading the reviews on the flavor I want to try it really bad now! Not saying it will work for her but trying can't hurt I guess :p

several people i talked to that quit smoking reported a lot of the same...most said they didn't cough up as much crap out of their lungs as they had expected,,,and they felt a lot better all around anywhere from a few weeks to a fw months,,,

perseverance is the key to the reward......

Always good to see a new Vaper get started. First post in the forum but have been vapeing for over six months and will never go back to analogues again. Well, except for a good cigar for a rare, special occasion. Keep on vapeing, for me, analogs started tasting absolutely horrible after my first month of vapeing and it was most likely the driving force behind quitting them completely.
