Hey tjmmotox
Day 5, all I could do was think about the half pack in the glove box of the car.
The folks at the local B&M vape lounge helped me set up a couple different Evods, for the day.
24mg nic in one for the first hit of the morning,(plus the long drive to work), 18mg for the day, 12 mg for the drive home
and the evening
With the help and input from the members here,
and the folks at the local B&M that seams to be working....:)
and yes the half pack is still in the glove box of the car

Great post mkbilbo, not much more to add.

I'll be moving back to Lincoln here in October hopefully and I have some friends in Omaha, I'll have to try and make a trip to that store sometime for sure!

Thanks for the support and advice, and what mkbilbo was saying, I understand that a lot; the only time I really crave an analog is in the morning when I first wake up, if I make it through that without having one and just vaping I can handle my other cravings throughout the day. And I will take everyone's advice and order some juice with maybe 18-20ish mg of nicotine and see if that can help me escape the morning cravings. I didn't realize your nasal passages also absorb the nicotine in the vapor, I guess I'll have to do long drags, hold it in the lungs and out the nose then hahah

Actually, what I've read, lung inhales might not get you much. The vapor droplets are much bigger than the smoke particles and I dunno the medical term for it but the little, teeny areas where gas exchanges happen in the lungs are really, really, really small. Longer holds in the mouth and exhaling nasally may help.

Smokers are used to inhaling deep and fast. I know I was. My inhale as a vaper is much slower. More... relaxed? Not sure how to describe it but it's not like my inhale when I was smoking. And it took time to shift that habit around. Some vapers like lung inhales. Myself, my lungs don't like vapor. Makes me cough.

If your current nic level works through the day, maybe all you need is a "morning" level. Something higher to get rolling with.

At the same time, killing off that "first one of the day" ain't easy. I couldn't kick that one for a while myself. But every week, I smoked a less than the one before so long as it was going the right direction...

So it's day 5 of being cigarette free and just vaping, minus a couple drags one early morning... And I'm sure this has been covered many times, but so far from vaping I don't get that kick/wake up in the morning as with real cigs, and I have about 40ml of 12mg nic juice in 65/35 blend and I love the flavors and I love vaping but I find myself doing it almost constantly throughout the day with no hint of a buzz whatsoever. I smoked Marlb reds for about 5 years, around 15 a day, and I like the amount of TH with 70/30 and 65/35 and I love the vapor production, if I go down to a 50/50 blend to get more vapor can I bump up the nicotine content to not miss on the throat hit? It just feels like I'm not really getting any nicotine, or maybe my brain is just missing the additives and chemicals. Should I just finish out the juice I have and give myself more time to adjust before bumping up the nicotine content? Also I'm just using a kanger evod starter kit if that matters. Thanks in advance

I've been vaping straight for 6 weeks. No cigs at all for 23 days now. The only thing I really miss is my first cig of the day. The others are right....you won't really find a vape to match that cig of the day. It's like a lost lover who treated you badly most of the time, but you miss that one thing about them. Just accept it and move on.... haha! I know how frustrating that is. But after I vape a bit when I first wake up, I just instantly start my morning routine of brushing my teeth and showering. Then after I'm up at at 'em, I find that vaping after all that is extremely satisfying. It's just getting past that first little part of the day. I'm still getting used to it. I REALLY wanted a cig yesterday.

Most vapers I know can't even stand the smell/taste of cigs anymore. I don't think that will be the case with me. I simply love tobacco. I'm not against tobacco. Just tired of paying money to the big and corrupt tobacco companies to make me ill later in life as cancer runs in my family.

I love vaping. But cigs will always be my first love. :)

I haven't read through all of these yet but let me tell you a little about my switch to vaping.

My wife still smoked when I was "trying" to switch. I wasn't really trying hard but I got some 24mg sampler pack and every time my wife went for a smoke (or just before) I grabbed my e-cig and puffed away to try to make myself not want the real deal. The first day as my wife went out to smoke I followed her out and watched her smoke her cig and by the time she was halfway through, I broke down and had one myself (as I said I wasn't really trying much to stay off the cigs). I did that for day one, day two, the whole first week. By the end of the first week I found that I really didn't care much for that cig anymore. I would go through the motions and make it maybe halfway through it and just throw the rest away. The next week my analog consumption started dropping as I would still go out with my wife but skip the cig and just vape. By the end of a month the only time I smoked analogs was if my battery died (I was using the little cigarette look-a-likes that have a very short battery life) and even then I couldn't stand how it made my mouth taste and my clothes and fingers smell. I bit the bullet and smoked only when it was not possible to vape and I had to have my nic but it was disgusting.

Now here's my theory. The 24mg juice was enough to give me all the nicotine I needed but I still wanted the taste and feel of the real thing so I smoked anyway. But after a while your body/mind starts to disassociate the nic fix from the actual act of smoking. You stop feeling like you NEED to smoke because, after all, there's not really anything so special about the act of smoking, it's just habit (which the e-cig emulates). The NEED to smoke gets transferred to the e-cig because your nic fix is being satisfied by the e-cig FIRST. In my opinion your 12mg juice is just not high enough to get a good hit of nicotine. Try 24 or even 36mg juice and if you really need an analog make sure you hit your e-cig a few good times first.

Ok sorry about the wall of text. I'll stop here.
