Thanks for all the tips. I didn't vape for about 24 hours and my tongue felt better. So I thought I would ease back into it and just vape a little every hour and see how it went today. By hour #2 my tongue was feeling so irritated again, I stopped. I am going to let things heal a little longer and try out a few other suggestions, including possibly a 100 percent VG juice. I smoked the Blu ecigs before getting my Halo Triton and had no problems with it and didn't have any of these symptoms -- blu disposable ecigs from the gas stations are 100 percent VG. It may be just my luck to be one of those people who is sensitive to PG. I'm definitely NOT giving up, I have seen how well this can work. If any of you have a favorite VG juice, I would love to hear about it. Thanks again for the tips and I have been reading as much as I can!

Heathers heavenly vapes, alien visions, Alice in vapeland, and Mt Baker all offer 100℅ VG. I'm sure there are others.

Velvet Cloud Vapers (I think that's what they're called) in Northern California. Although I would ask for extra flavor shots if they have them (to me they are flavorles! Also Boba's Bounty and some others from Alien Visions are 100% vg and very poplar (make sure you go to the right website and not the fake one - which is not 100% vg). Also if you buy from AIV get extra flavor shots imo.

Don't be put off if you are in fact sensitive to PG - lots of people seem to be and they still find juice they love!

Sorry for the troubles you're having. In my opinion the best 100% VG juice is available from Johnson Creek. They make the smoke juice that is in all the Blue ecigs disposables and cartridges. Though I only use Halo eliquid now. I used to vape Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured VG, which was very good. They also have PG juice, so make sure you get the Red Oak version because that is the 100% VG version.

Keep in mind that it might not be the PG that's causing you problems. It could be that you're sensitive to one of the flavorings in some of the liquids. If you're vaping any flavors that have cinnamon, ginger, or peppermint, those can cause some folks mouth irritation. Also you're really vaping a very low nic level for someone who is just giving up cigarettes. That may be causing you to feel you need to chain vape and that could cause some irritation.

Don't get discouraged though, sometimes it takes awhile to find what really works best for you. It could be that just one of the juices you've vaped has caused the irritation. Trying the 100% VG might work, but now that you know you have a sensitivity I'd just try one thing at a time and not switch around until you figure out what's going on. Good luck, and please let us know how you're doing. :)

Nanny22,

I have to echo Cindy's comments. Johnson Creek is what Blu uses (although you can't get their exact recipe, you can get close with Domestic). Get a sample size for cheap and try it out. You have to use what actually works for you, and I'm sure that many lighter liquids will vape just great in your Triton. It is worth a $5-$10 investment to discover whether PG is negatively affecting you. You're building a long-term replacement strategy here, get it right and you won't be sorry.

There was a time I thought I was PG intolerant, however, it turned out to be a higher voltage from an inferior PV I was using. You're using the Triton, so we can rule that part out. That leaves the liquid. Give JC a try and let us know what you find. If that wors, then you found a solution, if not, try a different flavor or two.

Remember, we cannot correctly emulate burning tobacco in a PV, no matter how hard we try. So we focus on the physical habit, the nicotine, and the yummy flavors we can get which are ALL far superior to what a real smoke offers.

I'm definitely NOT giving up, it was too GOOD! I loved everything about vaping - so much so that I think I would have chosen it over smoking cigarettes even if I didn't want to quit. I am about 90% better today - the burning is gone and even the red sore I had in the middle of my tongue is pretty much gone, doesn't hurt any more. I can't believe I could smoke toxic chemicals in a regular cigarette and never have a mouth sore but would have trouble vaping. Never been allergic to anything in my life. But maybe that is just my rotten luck. Either way, through process of elimination I will be vaping again soon. That I know for sure!

Definitely do that until you figure out what's going on!

And Nanny, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to break Halo ranks, and go grab a Blu. You might have reactions to the PG.

As low as we rate Blu, we'd all heavily recommend Blu over a pack of Mistys or Marlboros...

I definitely don't think it's the worst thing. The Premium100 pack is my road unit. It will more than suffice. A moderate-light former smoker may be able to get by with it alone, even for a couple of days.

By all means, use the cheapest route possible to figure out if PG is your problem. You've got to make this work for you to achieve your goal. No brand loyalty or cheer-leading should ever trump the ultimate goal here.
