This is a first. Just a quick question, are you quitting vaping too, or just leaving us? Please don't get upset with me, I just have never seen a reason to be this dissatisfied with this forum.
Not quitting vaping, just this particular forum. Not upset with you in particular. Never dealt with you I dont think. I have my reasons, I just prefer to keep them private.

WOW... Here is a thought. Just log out and don't come back if you do not like it here?

A polite request from a member about how to deactivate their account (which is everyone's right to have an account closed) gets this response?

There have been many wonderful people who gave their time and years to this forum, who, for whatever reason, asked to have their account closed. One that I remember was very well-liked here, got a job that had some sensitivity to politics and postings on social forums........I don't blame the person for wanting to opt out of anything that might impinge on their professional life.

Closing also let other members know that he was no longer available for PMs, messages, etc. and had "moved on."

This person gave a LOT of their time to helping newbies, giving away PIFs to needy vapers. I'm sure he would be sad to see this kind of hostility here now.

Ok there's a difference between being snarky and being hostile. People are way too sensitive these days. I don't see many if any truly hostile posts on this forum. I see plenty of sarcasm, but to claim that as hostile is just a misuse of the word to fit a narrative.

I agree to a point, but some people are more sensitive than others and I think we should be mindful of that. We share this forum with the entire world, so we should remember that not everyone has the same sense of humor. I see lots of snarkyness, from myself as well as others. But I can't say that I've ever seen an apology when someone got offended.

Just like there is a difference between answering somebody's question and being unhelpful.

I'm asking nicely if anyone knows how to completely remove my account and my name from here. I did look thru site feedback and help, and didn't see this topic addressed.

I looked as well while trying to figure out how to help you. Didn't see a sticky on this and there was no way to search the topics.

PressPlayVape was correct, though......there is a Contact Us button at very bottom right hand side of this topic. That is what you should use.

The thing with forums is that their designed to promote conversation. So when you create a topic, it's no longer yours. People will enter the conversation, add their thoughts, and even have side conversations and shift it entirely. That's the nature of a forum structure. Hell, thats pretty much every conversation ever had by a group of people. It's unavoidable. So, if you ask for help, not every post will be helpful. And that's OK. But I haven't seen anything hostile.
