I have two 1100mah Vision EGO spinner batteries. I was puffing on one of them a few days ago and when I went to take another puff the light wouldn't go on. I clicked it 5 times (to see if I might have turned it off by accident) and nothing happened. I assumed that it was dead so I went upstairs, grabbed my other battery that was fully charged, and put the dead one on the charger. When I went back upstairs a couple hours later to unplug it the light where it tells you if it's charged or not wasn't red or green, it was orange/yellow. I thought that maybe I didn't have it screwed in all the way since sometimes my batteries don't charge if I didn't screw it in enough (but if this happens the light is green, but just doesn't charge the battery because it doesn't have proper connection) so I screwed it in more and nothing happened. I put my other battery on and the light turned red so I know that the charger is working properly so I'm assuming that my battery is a goner. But where I'm confused is why. The battery is around 10 months old, I only charge it as much as it needs to be to be fully charged, I haven't gotten it wet, I haven't dropped it from a considerable distance (the only times I actually "drop" a battery is if I accidentally knock it over when it's on the table but it doesn't fall on the floor and I almost never do that), and it hasn't showed any signs of decreased performance like a battery usually does when it's on its way out. So 1. Is my battery a goner and is there anything I can do to fix the problem, 2. If my battery is done for why did it literally decide to stop working for no apparent reason?

Hi Shady! Most Li-Ion batteries can only take about 300 charges--then they die. This is especially true if you let them completely discharge before you put them on a charger. Those batteries live longer if you top them off frequently. Is it possible that your battery has reached its limit of 300 full charges after ten months? If so, it's dead and nothing will bring it to life. Take it to a battery recycling center and get a new one.

If you don't think it has been charged 300 times yet, you may try cleaning the contacts and the threads--both on your battery and your charger. Sometimes the contacts are covered with dried up eliquid and the battery won't charge. I use 91% isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip or a soft toothbrush and clean all my hardware at least every month to make sure everything works properly.

Are you using a wall adapter with your USB fast charger? I'm not sure where exactly you saw that orange light--I have a wall adapter and a Joyetech charger but I've never seen an orange light--it's either green or red... So I'm a little confused here. Anyway, I strongly recommend using a wall wart. You can get one for a few bucks from almost any e-cig supplier.

Also, sometimes, when a battery is not connecting properly, it's helpful to unplug everything, wait a while and then plug it all back in--just like you would reboot your computer.

If that doesn't work--your battery is dead. It happens. Ten months is not bad. :)
