Dead KGO Battery?

Hey All,

I so I got a KGO kit on Wednesday, and it seems that I've having an issue with one of the batteries. When I put a carto on it, and press the button, the light comes on, but nothing happens. No crackle, no vape. When I plug it in, the light stays green, as if it's not recognizing the battery. Does anyone know why this could be? Do I have a defective battery? The carto's I've used work with the other battery...

Do you have a multimeter? Using one you can check if the battery is giving power

I do. Does the battery button have to be pressed to check? I'll be home in a few hours to check!

yes, one lead to the middle of the connector and the 2nd lead to the outside of the connector then push the button, put the multi meter on the V 20 SLOT

Give the button 5 continuous pushes to activate and deactivate.

You might try taking a paper clip (or something you can get under the pin) and prying up lightly on the center pin of the KGO..maybe it's not making contact with the cartomizer..these things are mass produced and sometimes they aren't perfect...

Well, I pulled out the miltimeter, it's dead. I'm not getting any reading. I tested my other KGO battery, as well as my Kr808's, and they are all showing proper readings between 3.8 and 4.0. Kind of a bummer, but I guess these things happen. Thanks for the tips, I would never have thought to pull out the multimeter...

Were did u get it from?

If u got it from Hoosier, Brent will replace it if its less than 30days old

I got it from Dark City Vapor. I emailed Bill this morning and he's going to swap it out for me! AMAZING customer service!
