No it won't burn through the end cap, these are very low voltage LED's.

OK I just found a cart that would not work on a shortie. If you guys could try this and let me know if it works for you. The carto and the battery were not making contact so I took the carto and popped up the center post just a tad and it works great. I know this is not a perfect solution and we will get it figured out for you, but in the meantime this may work for you. Just carefully pop up the center post on the carto (with a paper clip perhaps), and try it out. The staple mod may work for this as well.

I've actually tried the staple mod and couldn't get contact either. I don't wanna risk messing up a carto trying to pop up the center post on it since the center post on the battery is the issue; even if I got a carto working on it, I can't charge the battery.

Edit: Honestly, this isn't a huge deal for me, I have plenty of other batteries to use for now, including one of the new autos you guys threw in my order with the shorty (which, btw, is an awesome battery. I generally stick with my manuals for the most part, but the longer cutoff on the new autos is great, and they put out a ton of vapor).

That's a good point... like I said we will get you out a working one. I'm sorry that you are having issues.

You replied before my edit, like I said it's not that big a deal. :)

I know you guys will take care of the problem, and I have plenty of other batteries. I mostly bought the short for stealth vaping anyway. That, and it seems like I have to try out damn near every new thing you guys get, it's an addiction. Still holding out on buying the xtralong until the 10 second models come in.:thumb:

The good thing is, you got it from us, and we will take care of you:thumb:

Steve:cool:

Hate it when it is not smooth8-o

I have some that are picky as well:D

Its completely fine! Not like I don't have another battery I can use! Can't expect it to go completely smooth ALL the time! Even of you guys ARE Steve and mark!! :)

Got my blue shortie in the mail today and was super excited but...put a brand new cappuccino cart on and.....nothing! so I put the cart on a regular auto battery and got tons of vapor! Thought maybe the shortie maybe just needed charged but I put it on the wall charger and the charger light stayed green so I tried the pcc and the red light doesn't light up. So I'm assuming I got a bad one or am I missing something obvious?
I think mine is charging just fine. If you need to borrow it until you get your replacement, I could run it over to you after you get off work. (after I try it, of course! lol) I now have three batteries and one pt total, thanks to Pugzley & Mema's generosity. I can only try to "pay it forward"

That's how I feel to. Sometimes things don't always go smooth, but seeing Steve and Mark on here trying to help us out makes everything ok. Nothing's worse than having problems with a product and the supplier is dead silent. I'm glad I bought mine at V4L.

Awesome! sounds like you gave up the analogs completely! what about your wife? it can be difficult to find the IT flavor.
So far my favs are pear, green apple, red cow, and now camel. This list is subject to change after I try some of the other ones you sent me. The camel is my fav tobacco flavor by far. My wife is still on the search for her favs.

Tell her not to give up! I'm still searching for my fav but enjoying the hunt :)

It's so cool that you and maaron hooked up!

I am having the same problem with the lime green one Steve tossed in for me, just figured I got a bad one and ordered 4 white ones because I did like the size. I hope they are ok. Not worried, I know Steve always makes good on it, just too bad if the whole batch is goofy! I somehow doubt China's return policy is as generous as Steves! :(

I'm having the same problem with the one steve sent me. I pulled up the center part but when I tried to get it to charge it didn't work on the ac or usb charger. When I looked at it after taking it out the center was back down. I pulled it up again and put it on the pcc and so far its charging. I'm going to leave it until morning and see what happens. I hope it works. The only problem is the shortie is for my mom and she doesn't have a pcc. I'm trying to get her off cigs. I'm worried if I give her something she has to mess with she wont vape. I don't mind charging it on the pcc I have other batts so its no big deal for me. And its sooooo cute. I'll wait until we have the bugs worked out and order her a new one

Just took my white one off the charger, no defects. It is a little harder to hit, but the size more than makes up for it. The only concern I have is this: When I first got it today, i hooked it up to my pcc. It had charged for about 9 hrs, and the red charging light was still on. I got impatient and decided to try it out. Everything seems fine, except sometimes while I hit it, if i'm not pulling hard enough the led will flicker and cut off the drag prematurely. No big deal though, completely satisfied with my new batt.:thumb:

Your post got me thinking, and I started messing with my bad shorty some more. The center post is definitely in there really loose, I'm able to pull the one in mine up and get it to vape as well, but as soon as I put it into the ac charger, it gets pushed back down, and never actually starts charging. Same seems to happen with the usb charger as well. It does seem to charge in the pcc though. There's definitely a manufacturing defect with at least some of these. None of my normal autos have loose center posts that can be easily moved, but the shorty's post moves quite easily. Whatever sort of epoxy or whatnot that's used to put in the center post is really weak on the shorties.
