Hi everyone, my wife and I bought a Electronic Cigarettes with Charger and 6-Refills Set (110V~220V AC) from dealextreme( sku 14561) and we have received it and it works okay, what I am wondering is... Is this model the same as a m401 from ruyandirect because we want to order cartridges but dealextreme doesn't specify nicotine levels any help would be really appreciated also are the batteries and atomizers interchangeble?

Thanks, Matt

From what I've read, those 'health-e-cigs" don't last very long. Batts and atty's fail in a very short amount of time, and with the low price they are considered disposable. You should maby think about investing in a better more reliable piece of equipment if you are going to depend on it. Just my opinion of course.

We decided to quit "regular" cigarettes because of the price increase but, we wanted to start small because we weren't sure we wanted to drop $150.00 then hate it and go back to smoking again. I was expecting a cheap piece of crap when I ordered but we ended up really liking it after the learning curve and the kit was sturdier than we expected too. So I am gonna ride it out till this thing breaks and then possibly go with something better.

I think that is a smart move. I think too many people go on equipment shopping sprees before learning how to use e-cigs in general. I doubt that is an actual m401 but it might be a clone (it looks to me like dealextreme has changed gear alittle). Check the measurements and threading (length means less since that is mostly battery size). ruyandirect.com has a pretty wise selection and gives measurements.
Also I would suggest that you at least try dipping and ditching the prefilled carts or at least look into filling your own carts. The 401 subforum has information about both:
M-401/402 "Mini" - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Using fresh liquid frees you from finding and paying for pre-filled carts. It taste better and is cheaper. Personally I like the ease of dipping with exposed atomizers like you have. I carry a contact case full of fluid and just dip the atomizer into the liquid when the taste starts to go away. Works great.

I bought one of these kits, it's junk compared to my 801 on teabag filler. I never got mine to work right and they don't hold much juice...I wouldn't recommend this product ......I actually cut up the inside of the e-health box and now use it as a carrying case for my spare attys, carts and batts for my 801....

I would say they're good for a spare. That's what I bought them for. You can fall back on them if your good e-cig goes out on you. A decent back-up for someone who doesn't have a lot of spare cash at the time.

hey Jim...I could only get two hits and then it needed to be refilled, batt power was terrible too. I'm sure it could back up my 801 but those small juice "pots" sucked...

I agree 100%. My point is, if your 801 crapped out, and you were out of spare parts, that old Deal Extreme could keep you off analogs until your new parts arrived. Sort of like getting a flat tire and using the donut tire until you got it fixed. I won't be nice, but it can get you though a hard time.

Hi guys! Hello from Canada. Great forum and great people.

In my experience, everything I got from Dealextreme is a low quality product or some kind of imitation. I got like 10 different items from them and 1/2 failed in 30 days. Do not trust the reviews. Dealextreme does not post negative reviews so many things look OK, but they are in fact complete disappointment. A month ago I ordered sku.18431 e-cigarette which is very similar to the one you discuss. Looks like the same product in a different box. Bad taste (no nicotine), leaky loose cartridges, hard to refill, low battery life, cheap atomizer, etc. ... you got the picture. You get what you pay for. Do not waste your money. Go on Ruyan Direct (or somewhere else) and buy the real thing. Now I have DSE901 Black in my hands, nothing to compare to Dealextreme items.

Yeah, the carts. that came with it had a foul taste, Horrible! Tasted like sugar coated plastic/cat piss hybrid, if that makes any sense haha .They are cheap but they are getting me by, we actually bought 7 kits so there is always at least one charged. I ended up buying some liquid from goodprophets and have just been dripping the atty and I have pretty much stopped smoking "old school" smokes, maybe one or two here and there. Amazing how much those ole' analogs stink! Now I just find myself questioning the safety of the propelyne glycol ,but I figure it can't be as bad as cigarettes....

The propelyne glycol issue is mostly Government Hype. They say it's in anti-freeze leading folks to believe anti-freeze is in e-cigs. BS. propelyne glycol *is* in anti-freeze, but it is also in food products, toothpaste, mouthwash, and even salene solution that's used medically.

The cartridges, I beleive hav a foil seal on them. Use a paperclip to poke the inside out of the cart, and scrape the foil off. There's also a saran wrap type of plastice with the foil. Scrape that off too. Refill the cart. You'll get better results.

Yeah I scraped those foil seals off a week or so ago, cleaned and refilled the carts with some new 24 mg liquid, but I couldn't get rid of the stank funk taste, tried some dry burns on the atty then eventually started dripping directly on the atty and that has been all I've been doing for awhile now, just dripping ,and I am pretty satisfied with it even if these rigs aren't the best. I am thinking about eventually going to something w/ better battery life and a sturdier build.

That atomizer in the pic does not look like the M401 I have at all. I have 4 attys and am using 2 activley, 1 on a USB passthru and the other on a battery. I will say the cart is not big and does not hold alot of fluid, but I get between 10 and 20 good huge hits, which is fine since I hit 2 in a row, then recap off the fliud level and set it down for a hour or so.

2 weeks now, no problems except me flooding the atty. Which I blew out and it works fine now. As for cheap, the starter kit cost $55.00, I was consideing the M40* series to be mid range biginer class. Also my batterys last hours and hours, I have all 3 sizes and even the smallest last hours.

I had read a tons of post here before buying the m40* and the guy in the fedora video sealed the deal, he shows the m401 aganst the 510 and the vapor production for the 401 is like twice as big. It is very nice to have a huge cloud. I am not sure i want a "screwdriver" or another huge device, also I do not want to hear a sizzle. Just give me the smoke and the nicotine.
