I think you've stumbled onto a good niche idea there. Too many reviewers are busy reviewing stuff like ProVaris (excuse me while I look at my feet and whistle). The kind of smaller things fall in between the cracks a lot of the time. Looks like you're going to go ahead with it, which is great. When you find a niche idea if you don't start doing it right away, someone else will :)

As far as what to do first, I'd say go with hardware. juice is kind of the great equalizer because it costs the same whether its in an eGo clone or a Darwin, and there are a lot of juice reviews out there already. Maybe if you could do something to start meriting out the best juice deals out there, that might attract some viewers.

I also agree with the other poster about changing up the intro a little (of course I know nothing about making videos).

Good luck with the new project!

Thanks for the info. I'm going with a hardware review first. As far as juice goes, I'm actually going to review it differently from what I've seen before as there are a few very key components that go into pricing for someone on a budget. I'm changing the intro to just the name of the show/video series and my credit and right into the review. Time is very important so want to make sure I waste as little as possible. I'm putting up my first review video tonight on one of those items that a lot of new vapers ask about but get vague answers on. Stay tuned!

I think this is a great idea! I'm not desperately poor or anything, but I like to keep my vaping purchases lower than what I would have spent on cigarettes for the month. It's just a good way to make sure my spending doesn't spiral out of control. This pretty much knocks the much loved Provari, Darwin, Reo, SB, GG, et cetera out of my price range. I just can't see spending hundreds of dollars on something that's basically a battery, casing and a switch.

I would love to see some reviews on things I could actually see myself purchasing. It's fun to see the crazy Ferrari class mods out there, but it seems like the more reasonable devices get overlooked a lot of the time.

I think you'd do a great job with your series. You seem very genuine and I was entertained. I usually only watch device or equipment reviews because I think juice is too subjective. I do like that you'd spend your own money on your review gear. I get a bit skeptical when I see that people get stuff for free. I know I couldn't be objective since it wouldn't really matter as much to me if it wasn't up to par.

Nice vid and idea, Jeremiah! You could label yourself "The Frugal Vaper".

I think for a lot of us recent converts, the information could be invaluable. There is a tremendous amount of information here on ECF - almost to overload. Having an entry series, where new vapers could see what's affordable out there would be tremendous. Whether you suggest starter kits, or piece-it-together, the new and frugal vapers could learn about alternatives. Don't forget to throw in suggestions on the juice vendors you value, how to hunt for those ECF coupons, and any tips and tricks on extending your equipment (cleaning cartos, etc.).

Keep our ECF vendors in mind, as I love to support these guys. They've been good to us, and anytime we can get a great deal from 'em, let us know!

Rock on, and Merry Christmas to you!

Allright everybody, video is done. Just finishing up edits now, should be on in a little bit.

I do want to let everyone know that the video is kinda long, about 14 minutes and change, as I've decided I want my videos to contain a review as well as an educational portion for newer vapers who may not understand the terminology on certain things as well as tips and tricks. I'll have it up in a bit, hope you all enjoy it.
