hi, there i am a very new ecig user, and have done quite a bit of research as of late and am becoming quite knowledgable conscerning this particular technology. i have only spent limited time on this forum and have found it very useful. however it is not nearly as useful as it is intended to be and i would have spent more time if it was. i did hope it would be.

mainly the reason is that it seems to me that technology is increasing a such a rapid rate (in general) also ecig tech is making big jumps mainly in the last 6 months to 6 weeks. although i have found lots of useful info on this site, it was really more trouble than it was worth.

there is an overwhelming amount of info here but lots of the info here is very much out of date and obsolete. it was good however to see the progression but i was not really that interested in a history lesson. just an observation. if i had found this forum before i was a little educated it would have been useless to me. another factor is that people generally find brands and stick with them. they are happy and no longer searching for the newest and best therefore they themselves offer info that is out of date, no fault of their own.

i am ignorant to "forums" and how they work but i might have some good ideas for you but that isnt my area of expertise and so i do not know if any of my ideas would be valid so at the present time i will not offer any.

just an observation and not a critisizm. id love to talk more about it and give some suggestions if they are welcomed. -Ryan

For some people, a smaller forum is a better fit. A google search of e-cig forums will turn up some smaller communities which may be less overwhelming. However, with a smaller forum, it will likely take a bit more time to get a question answered. Threads tend to move a lot more slowly when there are less active members. Pros and cons, either way. That's why I enjoy more than one forum-- each community has a different "atmosphere" and different things to offer.

I think that's what makes this a great forum. It's halfway between a chat room and a forum. A lot of forum posts can sit for days before you see a reply. Here, you get immediate results, but not so overwhelmingly as a chat room.

It is a big forum, and I'm still finding little corners here and there, but since there are 50,000+ members, it's like maneuvering through a city. It takes some time to find all of the information. The members here never let down, and fill in the holes very quickly.

The absolute value of this place? |awesome| + |win| :D

As for an effective way, a tech release blog of some sort, or a log for the manufacturers to post their releases to would probably work.

To be honest my snus tin mods hooked up with cartomizers have served me well for like..a year and I can't see myself changing up any time soon, but I suppose there are people who prefer to have the newest and best. ;)

So what are these new things that we are so in the dark about? Is there some new PV that lasts longer and costs less? Dose this new technology give you more MPG? I think ECF is quite cutting edge; clearly the go to source for all things e cig related. Don't keep me in suspense. If you are so much more knowledgeable than all of us, please fill us in.

I had asked the Moderators a while ago about a New Product Release area so it would be easier to see what is happening technology wise ( consider it guys !!! )

This IMO allows the users and MFG's to keep up to date and see what is happening , to date it comes down to advertising.

Many magazines have Press Release sections and these are a very valuable resource for the consumer as well as the Mfg.

I think that would be an excellent idea! Instead of us having to post on a chit chat thread or turn a thread into one the vendors can release their new goods.

It is late. Sorry about format

I know I have had a problem. If only I could just go to one spot for the latest and possible greatest inventions, products and/or new technology thread.
