When I started vaping in DEC 2011 Ecigs were really just getting some traction. I spent from then till April getting my info from Youtube surfing the web and talking to Moders and Vendors on the phone.

Even after I joined it took a couple of more months to start using the Forum. The reason I joined is because every time I did a google this stupid Forum would pop up and make it hard to find the information I was looking for! ;-)

When I realized they had a classified section and coops I jumped in with both feet!

I would be interested in hearing why other people joined?

I saw a random side bar ad for Blu in '09, which was the first time I had even heard of e-cigs. I had already failed at dumping analogs 3 times and I was interested in the "gadgetry" aspect of it. I started doing my research online, but ECF wasn't popping up yet for every search that contained "e". I fell for the Greensmoke hype videos and dropped my $200 for a kit. After a couple of months of nasty flavors, dry cartos, failed batteries (3 replacements during that time, fortunately under warranty because they were $50 each otherwise), I wanted something more. I began more research and fell upon this place. I read all about what was available and realized quickly that more expensive did NOT mean better! The Joye 510 was my godsend, and I was 100 times more pleased with my experience. Well, the cartridges were crap, so I learned to love dripping. As more e-cig and e-juice vendors came online, ECF became the hub for finding the info I needed.

It is still great for that today, even though it has become somewhat of a behemoth. People often did seem nicer in the past, and it seems now that one must be on their guard all the time against flames and arguments. There are some great people here but even ECF can't get away from the typical forum behavior that is everywhere now. Of course that is no fault of ECF, it is just the nature of the web.

A Google Search for e-cigs brought me here when I began researching. I've hung around here because as my requirements to advance on to the next level changed, there was info and experienced users that were already experts in the things I was interested in that I could learn from. As time has gone on, I've made some nice friendships and been able to help others with the knowledge and experience that I have accumulated.

I haven't been to too many other vape-related websites, but this one is the largest and best run site I've seen thus far.

Last year I wanted to try a e cig. After trying cold turkey more times than I can count, patches, gum, and various supplements.....options were limited. The only person I knew that even had an ecig used blu. Thank goodness I found this site before I had the cash for a blu! The sad thing was my husband, and the fact he didn't think vaping would work. He threw fits about me getting stuff. Finally I won that battle, and was able to get an eGo setup. Now I pretty much get what ever the H I want :p This place has so much info and a plethora of people who are kind enough to answer my obnoxious questions. For the most part it stays pretty calm. If you want to see flame wars head over to a forum filled with artists. Now that is constant flame wars. It makes the worst flame I've ever seen here.....seem like a wee fart. Maybe you heard a peep of a fart, and vaguely smell something. Unlike a forum of artists where the entire hippo backs up and cuts loose. Yep I like it here ;)

I am so glad this site exsists. If not for all you great members I would still be smoking.

My Mom ( Moms are wonderful) suggested eCigs to me, she had a few friends that were using them. I was so skeptical, the only things I knew of were pictures I have seen of Blu's. Then had a health scare and needed to do something. I googled ecig, and the rest is history.

I can say i was so overwhelmed. I read for a month and then shopped for a month, i could not decide. I even was to walgreens with a blu in my hands. then, Set it down, went home and bought a eGo kit that I still use and love.

I got lucky, a friend of mine who was always trying out gadgets showed me his mini cigalike setup back in 09. He filled me in on some of the basics including the problems he had with a cigalike and that a mod would be better and gave me the URL for this site. Everybody here was incredibly helpful and I've been vaping ever since. I got back onto the forum to see what's new recently and to help the newbies where I can.

I was trying juices from different online vendors and happened to notice the Forum link on TVR's website. Lurked a few days then signed up and the rest is history. I already had a few EGO's and Clearomizers, and now I have a Vamo, pro tanks, and numerous other sundry vaping items. This Forum has cost me quite a bit of money trying out all the suppliers members rave about. Thanks a lot Guys!!:p

I have been on photography forums, Harley-Davidson forums, and gun forums so when Google kept pointing me here I went for it. Turns out I've learned WAY MORE here than I ever imagined!!! In fact I can say, without reservation, that I would be pretty much lost as far as vaping goes if I hadn't discovered this Forum. The only downside is that it has cost me quite a bit of my "not smoking" money because of all the stuff I've learned about different vaping "options"...but what a blast it is!!! And I'd like to thank all of you experts for helping me along...I REALLY appreciate it!!!!! I'm still learning so I'm sure I'll still be pestering you folks from time to time:D.
