The best one is the lady in my office who is trying to quit using gum and patches at the same time and still smoking, she ask me how much I was spending and said that was ridiculous, then she complained that I was vaping during break at my desk, I have permission to vape anytime anywhere in our office her response was well if you are trying to quit you haven't, I mean really she is smoking with the patches on while smacking her nasty gum commenting and complaining about me. Really smokers are the worst I think it might be jealousy.

And that nicorette gum ain't cheap, either!

I figure cold turkey elites are just grouchy because they won't ever experience anything similar to smoking again. We all did it, and we all luved it. When I tried to quit cold turkey, all I would do would be to fantasize about having a smoke, or even just ashing one. I feel many people who quit cold turkey, also broke a little peace of their identity off...it's gotta be traumatic...

It's something in human nature many of us grow out of but, sadly, many of us never do: we often find it easier to seek flaws in others than to face those within ourselves. Then I can justify my misbehavior by thinking, "Well, maybe I am still smoking a few while wearing this patch, but at least I'm not... (insert perceived greater sin here) ... like Jake over there is doing!"

Some people who still smoke and bag on vapors are insecure and have to "bark" as loud as they can to mask the true fact that they probably want to quit smoking but think vaping is lame. Some people who quit "cold turkey" like to keep that pride and rub it in vapors faces that they don't need to be fixated by a crutch anymore. MOST vapors like to try helping people who still smoke and try to show them there's a better alternative.

Hmmmmmm Funny

Unfortunately there is no known cure for ignorance...

I had a non-smoker the other night at a get together with a bunch of friends claim my vaping was causing her smoke allergies to act up, and not the two hookahs in the room. What is amusing is that I am getting the hookah users into vaping because they like how much easier it is to use, and that the flavors are delicious.

Why did a non-smoker feel compelled to watch your video? Oy, some people's kids.

I live in New Orleans & one night while my husband & I were walking home from dinner in the Quarter, we walked across Bourbon Street- the main drag of booze, strip clubs & vice -and witnessed a lady screaming at people about how dare they behave so poorly when she had a toddler in a stroller. Because clearly, it's the fault of the people at the party that she felt compelled to bring her 2 year old there at 10pm?

Do people not look at themselves? Even if only for entertainment? That's so ridiculous it's almost Monty Python worthy.

When I smoked (only a year ago now) my least favorite people were the antis- there is no group of people anywhere who are more draped in self approval than the fervent anti smoker-
Anti smokers seem as a group to be convinced that they will never ever EVER develop any of the diseases that inflict the rest of humanity
If they become ill with any disease popularly associated with smoking their outrage and indignation is awful to witness, wailing incessantly about how unfair it is that illness should strike them "because Im a non smoker,"
Then we have to deal with the knowing smirks and comments like "you havn't really given up smoking though, have you"
A reply such as " Well, have you given up---------------------ing (insert rude word here) yet? how's that going?"
should do it.

Most people perceive e-cigs as a ''quit smoking'' devices;its true to a certain point.

We did quit smoking did we?

But for them to just switch to another ''bad habit'' is not perceived as quit smoking for some odd reason.

Dudes at work keep coming back with but will you stop this too soon?

To which I reply...if I ever feel like to,but right now I enjoy it and got way too much money involved (damn GG) and have way too much fun doing it.

I have yet to meet an axxhold, but I think its brewing.

First, I would say that I didn't read much farther than the first page.
Second, I was pretty hot after just the first little bit.
Third, TWELVE BUCKS FOR A PACK OF SMOKES?!?!?! OMG!!!! I payed $3.50 for my last pack.

I have gained a reputation for being little less than blunt to people around my office (I watch what I say and use tact most times, but have no problem telling anyone where to place their ill-informed or un-welcome opinions), so have not encountered much more resistance to my e-cig than jest amongst friends. Also, speaking of the airport and jerks, I work right by RDU, but live more in the sticks, and I've noticed that the more people move here from out-of-state, the less friendly the whole place has become. Therefore, I suggest that everybody blame the northerners... even if you're from New England, just blame a different state.

Everybody's happy :)

One of the last packs of smoke I bought was from a rather large woman. When I told her what I wanted she said, "You know, smoking's bad for you. It will kill you." Without skipping a beat I said, "So is being fat." The smokers waiting in line behind me laughed. I would usually bite my tongue or nod in agreement. I'm not a witty person... It takes me a few hours of stewing over someone's comment to come up with a good retort. I really don't know what got into me that day. I guess I was just really fed up with others telling me what I should or shouldn't do any more.

As for vaping... I haven't had anyone confront me about it. There really aren't that many smokers around where I live. Friends have mostly been supportive. They're thrilled I've given up analogs.
