Other companies seem to be only focused on Sub Ohm coils, and I'm not sure where to go from here.

Anyone else seeing the trend and getting frustrated? I don't follow Kanger much, do they have a good 1.8 setup? I'm off to research, but it feels like we're being forced into Sub Ohming, and I just don't enjoy it..

Yes, many people feel this way. It's a shame really because not everybody wants to get on that bus.

Kanger still makes single coils, in 1.8ohm, you can get in evods, T3S, protanks, etc.

Even worse is how many vendors got rid of the little cigalike, the eRoll.......and now eRoll afficianados are combing the web looking for parts and such and there are many vendors who no longer carry them or are just sold out.

I talked to somebody yesterday that uses the older Vivi Novas almost exclusively.

I prefer 2.2ohm coils myself.

There are many people still using cartos and carto tanks, and I know those come in 1.8 and 2.2 ohm. :)

The Death of the 1.8 Ohm Coil is a myth !!! Though the Mod Whompers, Cloud Chasers, and Flavor Chasers would try to tell you this, it's not gonna happen. As long as there people who smoked for decades and have destroyed, or nearly destroyed their lungs then since these people can not subohm, they will buy non-subohm products. This of course creates a market for a product that is not subohm, namely the 1.8 ohm coil. As long as there is a market for a product then there will always be someone selling it......

People who have good lungs and can subohm without problems think we all can do it just like them. I beg to differ from personal experience. I smoked for 47 years on average 2 packs plus per day. The day before I finally quit I could not even take a drag on a analog without coughing my .... off. Not even a drag, have any idea what that is like? Now I ask you, could I have quit smoking if someone had set me up with a Atlantis, Subtank Mini, or some other subtank. No, it wasn't gonna happen. Even with Tootle Puffing equipment I was coughing for days.......

I am happy to report to you guys that my lungs have improved some after nearly 2 years and with the introduction of Temp Control even I can subohm if I choose the right setup. I chose the IPV4s with a Uwell Crown Subtank using the RBA with a .25 Titanium build. I can actually Vape this 60-70% of the day and using a non-subohm unit to give my lungs a break now and then throuhout the day. Who'd a thought, I'm Subohming. I'm a part time Mod Whomper......lol

The GS M is ok for me but those fill holes are so dang thin that every time I refill I loose 4 or 5 drops in the sink. So not only do I have to fill over the sink but I lose juice every time. Surprised I seem to be the only one with this complaint.

My ejuices come in bottles with either thin, narrow tips or glass droppers. Both work very well--no spills whatsoever.

Tilt your tank a little and make sure you aim your dropper tip precisely into that narrow opening--avoid that little cross bar. If you only have the older style, round-nose bottles, you may want to get some needle-nosed bottles (FT has all tons of them, all kinds, very inexpensive):

The new GS Tank (22 mm diameter, with TC coils) has a larger opening for refilling.

I feel the same way but over the use of cotton only, as I can't use cotton and all the new tanks coming out only use cotton they restrict me to rba's or disposable attys (which are getting harder to find).

Know it all Nancy

What the heck is wrong with cotton wicks?

If you don't like cotton there is hemp cord or daycron.

I never got a good tasty vape will I dropped silica wicks like a bad habit.

About the person who misses the 1.8 ohm coils, my advice would be to get a Kayfun, orchid, Goliath, Goblin V2 or an RDA like the Magma, Veritas, Freakshow Mini, velocity, etc.

For flavor the Goblin Mini is a winner but the claustrophobic build deck; don't think you would be able to build a coil big enough in it to get to 1.8.

My first coil was 28 gauge and 7 wraps and fired 1.01 ohms.

My current coil is 8 wraps of 26 gauge and fires at .84 ohms. One wrap more and the coil would shortshort

To have a coil Fire at 1.8 you will have to have plenty room for the coil.
