Well, it kind of depends.

The ones with inline batteries are "regulated," meaning they perform at a similar voltage to what you're using now. There are also "unregulated" PT's that perform at 5v.

Whether or not you like 5v is personal preference. Lots of people love it. I hate it.

If you have ever tried an LR atomizer, that is pretty similar to how 5v feels. If you want to get a feel for it before you decide, that may be the cheapest way to try it.

I have a regulated 510 PT with an in-line battery, and I love it. I got it second-hand, and it was used pretty hard, so the fact that it's still working well says good things to me. YMMV. Mine is from CigNot.

thank you for the replys..I guess I will go with the regulated one..when I plug it in can I just start using it without the batt inline being charged??

I also have a powerpoint in my truck,so I could use that one for charging and thelighter for the PT.

Yes indeed. But when it is charged, you can also unplug it and keep on vaping for a while. :)

All you'll need is a USB to car adapter. CigNot sells 'em here:
Car DC to USB Adapter 1000mA
