I'm having problems with the English Toffee. I even took it to the 306 atty for dripping to be sure. Perhaps it's me, perhaps it needs to steep a little longer, but I'm having a heck of a time getting anything out of it flavor wise.

There's something there, almost like a "hint", but what little I do get I can't really describe. It almost seems like a base juice or like maybe an unfinished recipe.

It could be my mind again. Not knowing what to expect and trying to fill in the blanks. Remember the watermelon I talked about that tasted like Cucumber & Parmesan?

I have problems just like that! My son just loves one flavor and I can't even taste it :?: Got my daughter some "Whiskey" just for the heck of it and she can smell it........I can't.......go figure :?:

He's doing good. Still can't be in the same room as Monkey though. They are ok, then he wants to be a kitten and play with her, and she hisses and we have to step in.

hoping a few more days and she will be ok. Thanks for asking :)

Hope they get adjusted soon.

Goodnight everyone...........have a great Monday :)

Everyone parents differently, I tend to let them go to some extent as interfering can make the process take longer and even cause some resentment. It may be a little annoying for the older cat, but she'll let everyone know when it's gone too far and he'll learn 'boundaries".

If they're standing apart, fur sticking out and yowling at each other, then I'd say it's probably time to separate them. :D

I've seen that before, Trav... I had another customer who couldn't taste the Butterscotch... even at 300% flavoring.

Not to say that's what's going on with you, though.

Hmmm...

I'd think it's steeped enough...

Try this... let it steep for a day or two uncapped. It has a trace of ethyl alcohol in one of the flavor components... that could be blocking you from tasting it. Give it a real good shake, then open up the bottle (pull out the nipple... gently, cause it can be painful) and let it stand. If you're worried about dust getting in it, you can open up a sandwich-sized baggie and tent it... or actually anything to tent it...

I sensed the alcohol right away and it has been sitting open and nipple-less off & on since I got it with a good deal of shaking too. (you'd be shaking too if you were nippleless).

I always do that when I smell the alcohol in any juice, otherwise the steeping seems to take forever.

I'm honestly starting to believe it's flavor just escapes me. It what happens sometimes when trying to chemically and / or artificially imitate nature. Like in medicine there's always going to be some odd cases where it has either no effect or an unforseen effect.

I just hope none of your juices make me drip or go nippleless. :p

well... not in a bad way, anyway...

unless you try to snort it, which I strongly discourage... :p

Speaking of odd cases, I guess I am one indeed.

When I was in the hospital I could literally taste whenever the nurses would flush my I.V. line. How do you taste something that's going straight into a blood vessel in your arm?

You know how a large part of tasting anything is actually smell. Well it was like that, it was more of a sensation that seemed to start in my sinus area and end up in the back of my throat. Sort of a medicinal taste, like antiseptic.

The nurse told me it was rare but common enough where they didn't think I was nuts. But that some called the taste metallic.

According to Mr Coffee (my machine) the "cup" I use holds 7.5 cups. I usually drink one of those before my nap.

Monday's got a bad rap, he got stuck with crappy the job of getting the whole thing started. Sort of like the "time to make the donuts" guy.

But if he didn't get the cycle started and keep the other ones in line, the weekend would never get here. We could be meandering between Tuesdays and Thursdays for who knows how long, or possibly end up with like 4 Wednesdays in a row or something.

Of course none of this makes Monday's presence any more welcome. Especially after what he did to poor Sunday.
