Yeah Columbus day is like a stealth holiday. Not really sure if it justifies your questionable taste in pr0n though.

Deej, what does the creation of AEMSA mean to you?

No more standard caps, drop the 36mg strength option and a price increase to cover new equipment mostly.

The processes and procedures I put into place way back when are already in compliance with AEMSA standards.

Well, I trust you, personally, regardless, as you've been quite transparent about your operations. But I like the idea of self-regulation as I feel at the least it can contribute to the argument with the FDA's deeming regulation perhaps when it's time. But that's just my :2c:

OH, and hopefully, since some have arthritis or other issues, the AEMSA will re-consider the lids part so that child-proof is standard, but "standard" caps are optional, like at the pharmacy. Since meds have this option, I see no reason why juice couldn't.

Either way, it's voluntary and brand new. Be interesting to see how that develops. :)

LOL I've gotten some runny labels in the past, though not from here.

You mean I gotta take the Kiddie caps now (per new standards)? I've got no probs opening either, but any other types of issues I've had were always with the "childproof" ones.

I've had them leak, spin forever and never quite stop when putting on (they'd "snug up" but then go passed and be loose again), and the reverse when taking off. Just spin and spin but the internal cap part not move.

The ones that don't tighten I need to give special treatment to ensure they stay upright at all times. The ones that won't open I have to pry off then use a different cap on it.

It all comes down to "too much to go wrong" with the childproofs. Guess I'll have to start a stash of the nice caps I been getting from Deej. :D

CES: yeah... no organization such as this is cheap...

Sonic: Maybe they'll let me keep the standards as a user-selectable option like they do with meds. :)

Another thing I noticed... it's NOT geared to custom-mixers. It's geared to line or batch mixers. Sigh.

True, not cheap, and there are no salaries, but the money has to come from somewhere to pay for legal stuff, website, trips, or whatever. Just like CASAA or any other organization. But at any rate, it's a voluntary trade organization right now, and brand new, and like the guy said on the thread tonight, it's a living set of rules (so things can be changed as warranted). Don't despair, Deej, you have your loyal fans here! :)

Probably just going to get worse once the FDA decides to put the hammer down...ugh... :glare:

Good morning Clowder.

I dunno if Deej is considering joining, but IMO it's not a bad idea for any vendor to make sure that people know what standards they maintain.

I totally agree that letting customers know what your safety standards are is a good thing. I just think there are plenty of other options of achieving this without paying 6k per year.

At the end of the day, I'm with Deej all the way, whether he joins or not.
