Yeah no flooding, no wind damage, no problems at all on the extreme local level.

Just an issue somewhere in the huge circuit of electrical lines and my phone service having issues all throughout the storm area. Though I've read they're not the only ones. I read that AT&T, T-mobile, Verizon, and Sprint are (or were) all having intermittent and spotty issues throughout the region.

I also read the Verizon was having problems with it's internet service. Wouldn't that be a hoot, go home and have power but still no internet.

Would kinda suck cuz I don't use cable, just Netflix. So having no internet or TV would be bad. But at least I could watch still DVD's and tell what time it is, cook, and all the other simple little pleasures of civilization.

yeah, apparently cell-towers and masts were getting hammered all over the place...

I have cable internet here... goes down about 3 or 4 times a week, and no hope of wireless at any decent speed. DSL is non-existent. I go through internet withdrawals on a regular basis... yick.

But... DVDs can take your mind off it... for a few minutes, anyway.
