For Poeia (and anyone else who may be interested). Amazon for one day only has the complete House collection of all 8 seasons on DVD on sale for $83.99 (58% 0ff).

Amazon.com: House: The Complete Series: Anne Dudek, David Morse, Hugh Laurie, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer, Kal Penn, Lisa Edelstein, Mira Sorvino, Olivia Wilde, Omar Epps, Peter Jacobson, Robert Sean Leonard, Steve Valentine: Movies & TV

It's in my cart, but I'm procrastinating on finishing the purchase.

Thanks. Fiddy posted the info over at HHoW. Does it say how many discs Season 1 are? Originally they did it on 3 double-sided discs -- I have two of those suckers and both skip. Eventually they put reprints on 6 single-sided ones. If it's the latter, I'd say finish the purchase, definitely.

ETA: Mira Sorvino & Steve Valentine were guests on one episode each. Okay, she's an Oscar winner. But Steve Valentine??? If you're going to list guest who aren't the wonderful Anne Dudek, go with Sela Ward, Jeremy Renner or James Earl Jones.

When last sighted, DEEJ hit "like" on a 10PM Wednesday post. Time for an update, sir!

Oh, so you want an update? Well here, take this!

In about an hour, I go in for what is supposed to be my last infusion of vancomycin. Whether or not it really is my last is going to be up to a doctor or three. But as far as I know, this is it.

No new updates as far as healing go, those will have to wait. I haven't heard from the wound care people yet so I don't know what the tests revealed. I do know that the resident cat has been more willing of late to hang around me, so I guess my odor is returning to normal.

The resident dog has also stopped hovering, which I'm taking to be a good sign.

I'm looking forward to this weekend not having to go in for IVs. That's 10 hours returned to me that I can use for mixing. Very exciting!

I do have a doctors appointment coming up on Tuesday, and the wound care appointment is on Wednesday. I hope to have happy news coming out of each one of those.

On the heart rate issue I've been racking my memory, and I think this is not a new thing. There's been times when I felt the same way, but I racked those up to blood sugar spikes. It simply never occurred to me to check my pulse during those times. So, I could have an artificial pacemaker in my future. Yippee.

Special update from the big brown recliner in the IV Infusion room...

I've been extended for 2 weeks. They didn't like the results of the tests they did the other day.

Jerry: yeah, I'm not much concerned about having one installed... it's just another "indignity" in the string I've been enjoying. :)

Thanks for the updates Deej

Even with the extension, do you still get the weekend off? I really, really hope so- and i know you do too. AS much of a PIA and disappointment as that has to be, better to get it all the way knocked out now.

:p to the resident cat, and (((hugs))) to the resident dog (and you)

(i also hope that your heart's pace can be adjusted without an external pacemaker, but first things first)

Nope... no weekend off. Sigh.
