I think it's a perfectly reasonable excuse! I mean, laundry can take a LONG time to do! And the last thing you want to do is miss your flight because a load hasn't finished drying yet!

For the third time, I scored a Vornado fan in Bed, Bath & Beyond's "as is" rack. The was a floor sample $90 fan, on sale for $45. Throw in a 20% coupon and it was $36.

My first two were also boxless. One had a scratch on the case (which has since been joined by numerous other scratches) and the other had a dented plug. I made sure I could return it if it broke while I was straightening it. It didn't break and I've been using it for over 2 years.
