I started using the Octopus rebuildable dripping atty... I really like it. Wicks hold a lot of juice, and because of the construction they're super-easy to clean (I think... haven't actually cleaned on yet).

I wouldn't know how to rebuild that though! I have to take baby steps with my vaping. I am still wondering if when I say something (like above) if it's vape vocabulary correct. If that makes any sense at all. I am trying to read up on all of the stuff, but it's just a brain overload. LOL

it's actually extremely easy... they did a good job on it! It's bigger 'round than an ego batt... and pretty big, too. Even my paws can work with it. :)

But that being said, it's good to go with what you know! I didn't mean to push... :)

I was too... went to the grocery store. After that, I decided to finish my Buffy marathon. :D Finished that, now I'm starting on Angel. :)

Okay, my techy clowder-mates.

I need an ergonomic keyboard that is compatible with Mac 10.8.
All the Microsoft ones are compatible with 10.4-10.6 or 10.4-10.7
Logitech's Mac compatible ones aren't ergonomic.

Grrrrrr.

Looks like I'm the only other Mac user in the Clowder. :)

I believe that all keyboards will work under OSX but the extra keys on the keyboard(ie. media keys, etc.) outside of the "F" keys won't work without drivers. So the requirements for the OS are just for the drivers so that you can use those extra keys.

That said there are work arounds that you can use. But if you don't care about the extra keys you don't need to do anything but plug in and setup. You can also switch the Cntrl, Cmnd, and Option keys around if they are setup different than you are used to. This is just done though the System Preferences> Keyboard> Modifier Keys

This has at least been my experience and understanding. My gaming keyboard isn't supposed to work on a mac at all but it works fine. I just can't use the extra Macro keys that are on the side.

Maybe Firefly, but I wasn't as excited about Dollhouse. Maybe down the road I'll watch it again. I prefer the Buffyverse. :D

If the volume keys work, I'm happy. I never use the other function keys as it is. (And I love the option key.)

I even called Microsoft to ask about one that says it works with "Mac OS X, v10.4x–10.5x" Nice man checked and said it would work Leopard and Snow Leopard but he couldn't find out about Mountain Lion. (Stupid names.)

If I can use any of them I get shop. So far I've played with Microsoft 5000 and Logitech MK550 but there might be others. I've never had a wireless setup before -- I like keeping my mouse tethered so I can't lose it. I want to protect my wrist but I don't want to spend too much. My discretionary income is mostly earmarked for vaping.

ETA: Thanks, Spud.

Ya Dollhouse is definitely the weakest. Especially after the awesome Buffy, Angel, and Firefly. Maybe I was just expecting more because a lot of people seem to like it. I wanted a lot more Firefly though. :(

If the volume keys don't work out of the box you can always use a program like what Hangdude suggested to change the "F keys" into the Apple special keys like an apple keyboard has. They just might not be labeled.

Apparently there is a work around for the Microsoft keyboard. Here

The driver he says to download is a keyboard/mouse I'm seriously thinking about. I wonder if I could skip to Step 8.

Favorite characters = Wesley, Spike, Anya, Lorne and Giles (in that order.)
Least favorite character = Willow

Wesley and Spike were great through both Buffy and Angel. Very strong characters played by great actors. Willow was only interesting when she became a powerful witch. I would say my least favorite was Oz though he was useless most of the time.

In Angel my favorite was probably Winifred. I don't really think that I have a least favorite in Angel though. The characters were all pretty strong.

That webpage is a driver work around. Apparently the OSX 10.7 driver that is on Microsoft's website is able to run under OSX 10.8 but because it isn't optimized for 10.8 the driver shuts off after you restart. So you would have to either go into system preferences and click on the Microsoft keyboard driver every time you restart or you would have to do the steps after 8 to boot the driver on start up.
