If interested... For a few more hours you can snag for 99 cents, Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) playing Macbeth in the 2010 release of the Movie.

VUDU - Watch Movies

It's Vudu's "99 cent movie of the day". I check every day to see what the selection will be. You've got that day to rent it, then up to 30 days to decide when you want to watch it. But once you start watching it. it will only stay in your account for 24 hours. Membership is free.

Lots of days it's something old, super mushy, or just dumb. But sometimes it's a very new DVD / Blu-Ray release, so I think it's pretty random.

In fact if you join and setup an "Ultraviolet" account (also free) they'll add 10 movies (of their choice) to your account that will stay forever and you can watch as many times as you like. There are also other Ultraviolet sites (free) that if you join will also add 10 more free movies that you can choose from a list.

Vudu is available as an app on Roku and other "smart" TVs / Disc players. Also on phones & tablets. Or you can just watch on PC.

Ooh, thanks Trav! I've been wanting to see that. :)

Never really thought to myself "Hey ya know? I'd really like to see Macbeth as a movie". However out of guilt or shame or who really knows what, I sometimes find me forcing myself to indulge a little in what are considered to be "the classics". I'm thinking I need it to maybe be more rounded or better versed as they say.

Anyway, I've never seen any iteration of Macbeth ever. So I figure for me, what better way to keep myself even slightly interested than having Captain Picard in the lead role?

Soetimes I come away from these "experiences" thinking "Ah so after all these years, that's what all the fuss was about". Other times after the sitting I feel like I wasn't missing anything at all.

More or less the way I feel, but with an emphasis on watching anything with Sir Stewart. :)

Indeed. He's a very talented man.

I watched the trailer at work. He's got that *bleep" down. I may not always understand exactly what he's trying to say in Shakespearean, but with his inflection and emotion it sure helps you get the gist.
