Good morning

Loving the changes Deej. THANK YOU!!!

:2c:On the matter of bottles...I only ever get 30 ml sizes, usually 6 packs. Sometimes one of the bottles will leak a bit (which is why i love the ziplock baggies for every bottle). It's never much though, so i've never mentioned it. In my experience, the bottles with childproof caps are more prone to leaking.

I've noticed it more when i travel, specifically when i have liquids in my checked luggage. When i travel, the individual bottle ziplock baggies get used again. But i've also learned to try the "squeeze test" if a bottle is going in my checked bags, it has to hold a seal when i squeeze the bottle. If it doesn't, i change the cap (and sometimes the dripper thingy) until it does hold a seal. Obviously for stuff in my checked luggage, the leakage is due to lack of pressure in the baggage compartment (which is you already knew was probably the primary culprit), but it's a failure at the level of the cap.

If the QC for the caps is inconsistent, then you're likely to get a small random percentage of bottles that are transported by air that leak.

yeah...good luck with that part.

are the bottle cap colors random? I've gotten bottles with blue, pink and white childproof caps. (all the non childproof caps have been white). I think that the colored ones were better than the white ones, and blue maybe slightly better than pink...but i may be making that up.

I know that when the bottles leave here, they are capped TIGHT. I turn those caps as hard as I can and if the cap "slips", it's trash. And I've trashed a lot of caps lately.

    hmmm...
    Caps are on tight...

Nipples malformed in some way I'm not seeing?

Not fitting tightly into the bottle's neck?

This is going to drive me completely sane...
I have had a lot of "detached" nipples ... they are stuck in the cap.
Sounds like a combo of cap/nipple.
{{{{Deej}}}} Don't let it make you nuts ... huh? :)

My rough data for what it's worth.

From Deej: Many many bottles ordered, many orders placed: Results = 1 bottle leaked 1 time. Very little leaked, caught by Ziploc. Never a detached nipple.

From many different vendors: 3-5 bottles ordered, 1 or 2 orders placed: 2 leaking bottles. Caught by bubble wrap but got all over other bottles. 2-3 detached nipples (didn't seem to cause leaking).

So yeah, my data's kind of skewed due to the very large percentage that comes from Deej. The percentage is getting larger all the time too.

Between some of Deej's newer Tobaccos and recent other flavor releases, I'm finding less and less reason's to go elsewhere. Combine that with me now being unemployed and Deej lowering prices and you've got the perfect storm!

I used to have what I thought was an all time favorite at another site. I tried similar juices at other vendors with no luck, it was a sweet creamy vanilla blend vape, but it was high in PG so I really had to cut it's use way down. In their arrogance they refused to disclose PG/VG ratios of their juices and never offered custom options in that regard.

Deej now has a suitable replacement for me, VANILLA CUSTARD. :w00t:

Thanks for making sure I got credit, Dale. I'm actually not very worried about getting credit for my Googling. Just tossing out whatever I could think of in case any of them are useful.

Deej, the one time I had multiple bottles leak in transit was when it turned out the whole batch had microcracks in the neck. (ETA: This was the only time I told you about it because it seemed to be systemic rather than bad luck. Normally I wouldn't report a drop or two.)

Since then, one bottle leaked slightly. It was so minor I didn't notice it until I removed the plastic back and the bottle was slick. When I checked the bag, there was a film of the liquid -- not even enough to form drops. I don't even remember which flavor it was.

Mostly Priority these days in an effort to thwart the Bethpage post office's attempts to lose my juice.

The only times I've received childproof bottles recently was when I ordered a lot of pre-mixed (which, come to think of it, might have leaked. I know I didn't upgrade the shipping.)

I cannot get the blue caps off. I've had to cut a couple of them off. For the rest, I get them partially off then they get stuck again. At that point I can force them off at an angle. This almost always removes the dripper which remains in the cap.

I can usually get the pink caps off although I do occasionally resort to the "shove at an angle" method for them as well.

    Good afternoon everyone :)

I know they serve a great purpose but childproof is a pain.

    Howdy Clowder!

I've had a few leaks. Awhile back there were a few leaks in a couple of shipments, but it seemed to clear up after that (may have been at the same time others experienced it). Could've been a bottle issue that's better now. Lately, only a drop or two, and even that's been rare.

They did leak when i traveled as well, as CES mentioned. I also kept the little ziplocs to use for travelling, so not a big deal. And that was with recent stuff too that didn't leak on it's way to me. So maybe I didn't tighten enough, or that pressure in the flight or both got to it. :)

Don't overthink it Deej... I think it's already improved. :)

Each time I order bottles, they ask me what color caps I want. I've gone with rose across the board... but I'm thinking I should get different caps for each bottle-type.

I have had a lot of "detached" nipples ... they are stuck in the cap.

{{{{Deej}}}} Don't let it make you nuts ... huh? :)

I've had that happen here during capping.

Actually, the nipple on the 10ml bottle is different than the ones on the 15 & 30ml bottles.... the 10ml nipples sort of snap onto the neck... if you have 10s and a 15 or 30, pop the nipple off and you'll see what I'm talking about.

That was "new" when I went to the clear bottles... all the translucent bottles used the same type of nipple.

    Nope not going there...

    awwwwwww :p

:p Now you sound like Deej!

at least you didn't mention "nuts"

    Aw, nuts

I just said it for him. :)

and I had a bit ol' chuckle!

I'm almost tempted to erase it all but you quoted me!

    heeheeheehee

So is he sleeping. Or biting his tongue...

    Both?

Oh heaven's I sure hope he's sleeping ... looks like he was up day & night!!! :(

Yeah... sleeping... I do that on 3-day weekends... the Sunday is basically lost... PO is closed on Monday, so unless I have a MASSIVE order that needs to go out (or a large number of orders) I take the entirety of Sunday off.

And I'll let you customize it!

I get a lot of "carry our juice" emails from China... They're more than happy to use whatever bottle-art I send them...

I wonder how many of my competitors actually buy pre-made juice and sell it as their own...? I could make a killing that way, the juice is VERY cheap ($ wise).

To me, if you can't customize the juice, it's probably made in China.

Thanks for making sure I got credit, Dale. I'm actually not very worried about getting credit for my Googling. Just tossing out whatever I could think of in case any of them are useful.

That was the reason I went to PET bottles. I changed bottle suppliers at the same time. I've been really happy with the supplier I'm using, but thinking maybe going back to the translucent bottles is a valid option. They're MUCH easier to squeeze...

    Stupid childproof caps...

Went to my first vape meet yesterday. I can't wait for the next. My daughter is going with me next time!!!

Just some crazy old lady happily vaping away.

Did they have deejStuff samples there? I don't recall sending any to MI...

If not, ask the organizer to contact me!!
