So... here's what's been happening....
The pump arrived. A very nice unit. However, they didn't list a specific cable needed to allow the pump to be computer-controlled. This was ungood.
So... I spent a goodly amount of time trying to create a cable that would work. In this, I was successful. I never knew all that arcane knowledge about serial communications would still come in handy.
After getting that rigged, it was time to fine-tune the pump, write some new software to generate pump control files ('cause what I originally wrote was too cumbersome), and toss the pump into the lab.
Another few hours were spent trying to figure out why the pump kept loosing its calibration. Found it... it was a silly little thing...
The pump is now in service and yes, it's making mixing MUCH faster.
There's still some tweaking I want to do with the pump control files, but even if I don't do that tweaking, things are running GREAT!
In other news...
We've got a couple new flavors coming... Pure Sex and Better Than Sex... be watching for those...
We're also going to start carrying hardware again after the 1st of the year. We'll only be carrying hardware that Sybil has personally used and can attest to the quality thereof. She's very big on how things work moreso then how they look, so you can be assured that we won't be selling junk.
So... I guess the bottom line is this: deejStuff is set to EXPLODE in 2014.

And that means it's probably time to stop the reviews of hardware sites here. So, before we do, I'll say my EVODs arrived, finally. They were shipped promptly and departed the Indiana sorting station then… nothing. So I knew where in NY they were heading and got worried. After 3 days they were sorted by Beth Page then… nothing. And 2 days after that they were delivered. It looks like during the Christmas rush (and I'm sure they are very busy), Beth Page isn't even bothering to scan packages. But at least they arrived.
4 basic, high mAh EVODs all work fine. One of my ego charger cords had died but they're such a minor item I never wanted to incur postage. Now I'm charging all over the place. (ETA: Charging eGos. I'm not running all over the apartment like an enraged bull.) I have to find my mini surge protector to get things organized.
ETA: I'm sure Sybil will stock more interesting items that that.
Deej, tell Sybil to include some light-weight stuff. I know that whenever I mention my shopping by weight, some other people chime in who have arthritis, etc. and look for light equipment too.
