Hey guys I know I haven't been around. Just stopping in to say everything is going great.

Oh by the way we are pregnant :D

Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

    WooHoo Okiki!!!

(good to know you've been using your time away from the forum in a good way  )

Y....... but it's fun playing (and meeting potential new clowder members.)

ETA: With 12 flavors, odds of each guess winning jump to almost one-in-thirty. Not bad.

It's fun to have a busy thread to come back to...though it also means there's just a teensy bit more catching up to do

    Yay it's Thursday! :w00t:

Yay! Went in to work this afternoon only to find out I've been downsized!

After 5 years of 4 to midnight, this is going to take a little adjusting.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. idiots

Be hard to top that last job. I loved everything about it, the hours, the workload, the responsibilities, most all of the people I had do directly deal with. Even the money was pretty darned good, and only had a 6 mile commute to boot.

I could and would have easily rode it out to retirement.

Getting on in years, not looking forward to being "the new guy" somewhere else.

I hope you find something much better really, really fast

    Good morning Clowder

    (and clowder)

have you seen SJ's new global sticky thread? Looks like the fight might be shaping up- we'll need all hands joining CASAA and getting active

I have. I could lie and say I'm not troubled, but truth be told I am EXTREMELY worried.

Banning internet sales would, of course, be devastating to me and most all of my competitors. As in... doors closed.

The only way I could remain in business would be to get a serious presence in B&Ms... but then what other regulations will hit?

I'm not sanguine about being able to comply with a raft of new regulations, mostly licensing fees, requirements about releasing new flavors (if flavors other than regular and menthol would even be allowed) and whatnot.

Run a kickstarter or indiegogo campaign? Yeah, that's an option... would it work?

ETA: Link to global thread (if you need it) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sales-electronic-cigarettes.html#post10472776

ETA: My concerns are mine... I know you all have your own concerns... but CASAA is our best bet (in my opinion) of ameliorating what's coming down the pike...

I'm hoping that it's a press release to test the waters, and see what kind of response they get. My optimistic side says that if we make enough noise we can block it. I'm also not sure that they currently have the authority, and i think it's essentially unenforceable. But..

...even even creating the regulations would severely limit/kill small vendors. It'll be interesting to see whether the tobacco companies that have recently broken into the market support the idea of an online sales ban. [sarcasm] they have no vested interest in banning online sales [/end sarcasm]

TBH Deej when I first saw that story last night, my first though was WWDD? (What Would Deej Do?) 8-o

well, so many things can happen in a short amount of time...

If I could get into enough B&Ms to make what I do worthwhile, then I'll carry on best I can.

I've had a good number of B&Ms contact me over the past year, but there's been no follow-through from their end.

I do have some pretty aggressive wholesale pricing...

TBH - I don't know at this point. Supporting CASAA, sure... contacting everybody I can think to contact, sure... but I honestly and deeply believe that this administration DOES NOT have the American Public's best interests at heart.

(i'm not sure any administration, political group, or politician has our best interests at heart....there's no money in it)

I'll buy deejstuff online, even when it's not called deejstuff, or when the flavors, PG, and nicotine are each sold separately in carefully pre-measured containers for combining at home :)
