Having tons of fun now "getting my afairs in order". Had to apply for unemployment, trying to determine if my car loan had unemployment insurance, etc etc.

Should make one last trip to the doctor before my insurance runs out I guess. Joy...
    Oh Trav:(
When you said "downsized" I thought they cut your hours, not let you go completely ... that's just awful!
Do by all means run to the doctor if you need to, you'll be stunned by what they normally charge those of us without insurance:glare:

Oh... you can post 'em too! But they gotta come through the email address to get the Gift Certificate.

Also... dare I say it... I have a feeling (or hope) that some of those pics may not be post-worthy... :p

    Yeah ... and I'm old & I know it! :p
Nothing sexy here ...... unless you like old ankles!

all the add-ons that CA req'd for insurance is what did it. since COBRA has you pay your employer's part as well as your part (if you had one), and since happy stuff like massage and aroma therapy and psych and a ton of other :censored: was required, COBRA was not doable for any of us who found ourselves out on the street when the business shut down.

Oh carp! And I just sent out one yesterday to you! Sorry!!!!!!

And yeah, make that doctor trip! I forgot to do that... ouchie...

I'm counting that one as one of the two. I've gotten your Saturday shipments on Monday before. So if you sent it yesterday it should EASILY be there by Tuesday.

Besides, at the time you shipped it even I still didn't know of my impending fate. So no worries!

    cobra! ! !

Not in the cards, it's like $500 plus.

Was going over my bills and junk. Was able to barely survive last time back when I still smoked cigarettes. This time I thought it would be better since I quit, but so far I'm not having any luck finding any mention of unemployment insurance on my car loan. The car payments make up for me no longer smoking.

Deej is gonna have to put me on the installment plan!

Mine ran around there as does my private insurance now but the prescription coverage still makes it worthwhile for me. The deductible keeps going up. Need it to stay where it is until I qualify for medicare.

    Morning Cricket! How you doing?
    Get "stuff" taken care of?

Hey Dale! :) Better late than never, huh? Haven't had a chance to get on here much... still visiting w/ family. Sister's wedding is tomorrow. Lots going on! No, "stuff" is still happening, but working through it... hope things are good with you!

    Good morning, CES!

    Good morning, Dale!

    :wub:s to you both! :)

that whole thing is basically an exercise in preparing for war while hoping for peace. The better prepared you are, the greater the likely hood of the hoped for outcome. So... join CASAA if you haven't yet. Donate a few shekels if you can spare 'em. Know who your senators and representatives are, and know where their local (to you) offices are. Be ready to meet with them PERSONALLY when the need arises... getting an appointment isn't that hard... even easier if you're a group of 4 or 5. Emails, faxes and letters are great, but NOTHING beats face-time.

Be prepared. It's not just a motto for Scouts....

okay... getting off of my soapbox now...
