Well, it's certainly cute enough without it. (Besides, I posted that before I knew that deej didn't request the tri-color background -- his original site designer supplied it.)

Thanks again, I'm glad you like him. :)

I was wondering about the overall theme thing too. It looks like Deej is okay with different stuff which is good because you know what they say, "Variety is the spice of life."

IMO the business card being tied in with the website theme makes sense cohesively but making the juice pictures more unique should give a feeling that each juice is unique. Also it can give a visual cue for people who don't keep a list and forget what the juice name was that they ordered last time and might have thrown the bottle away. :2c:

I did try to change the background to the red-orange gradient just to see what he looked like but it showed a lot of the touch ups that I did to make his teeth more pointy and head more shaped so it looked more pixelated than painted. So he will just have to stay in his gray cave. :)

Here is Dragon Dreams!

And just for Poeia I added a red-orange gradient background. I think it worked well for a sunset effect for the sleeping dragon.

Deej, just an FYI, I can swap out the bottles for something else if you would like a different dream. :)

mmm im not that worried about her jackin me for my sweet gingerbread me and her have very different tastes which usually ends up working pretty well cause we get each other into stuff the we wouldnt usually get into. Its funny though as far as food goes i like more fruits and she likes more sweets, but when it comes to vaping almost exlusively like sweetsw(preferably bakery items) and shes all about the fruits, and even the fruit vapes i do like are ones that she doesnt so it usually works out well, that doesnt change the fact that i like to TRY everything though.

Wow, that sounds like you guys have the perfect relationship when it comes to vaping. I always hear "horror" stories about a wife or husband stealing a new found favorite juice. Then they have to buy another bottle for themselves. You two have what some couples only dream about.

You really didn't have to do that for me. Seriously, as long as deej is fine with a changing background, I agree that variety is the spice...

Anyway, he/she is GORGEOUS!

Spud, I'm curious.
What's gonna happen to that picture of the dreaming dragon when it
get's sized down?
It is a cute little dragon:)

It will work fine. I dragged Spud's original (800x800) to my desktop and shrank it to 200x200 (the size of the pics next to the names on the menu. Here' the result.

You lose a bit of the detail (which is a pity because it's such a cute dragon) but it works.

You could probably crop it down to 750x750 before shrinking it without losing any of the picture and gain a smidge more detail in the small version.

    Looks good to me ;)
That would make a great starter title for that home page too ... then it could be left bigger!

Thanks Poeia. I know I didn't really have to do it but I think it added some much needed color to this picture and it worked nicely with the sleepy dragon. So I did it anyway. :D

After the first one, you got me thinking about the small size of the pictures so I started to size the starting canvas down to about a square 3in. x 3 in. It is tough to keep a good balance since I am taking pictures from the internet and transforming them into these works. If I make the dragon bigger it starts to blur in the overall picture and if I make the canvas smaller it is harder to work with.

It looks like that works pretty well though. I didn't know that it scales down to a max of 200x200. I've been looking at them in 300x300 for scale checking. So thanks Poeia. I'll keep that in mind when checking the smaller scale for the next ones. :toast:

I think that was actually what you get when you click on "larger image." The default on the page is smaller.
There seems to be some variation. I came up with the 200x200 by dragging the picture from "Apple" to my desktop and opening it. Doing the same with "Cherry Blossom" and you get a 320x240 pic (wider than tall.)

I just tried scaling down the Cherry Blossom until it looked like the "not larger image" and, eyeballing it, it's about 150 pixel high.
That's when you are on the ordering page. The pictures on the list for each category seem to be smaller.

Things keep their focus when you shrink them and get messy when you enlarge them so you should be able to work on a big canvas and test-shrink copies along the way. If it is identifiable at <200 pixels, it should look fine on the site.

That's weird it might just be setup to auto scale down on the juice page and then when you save it the picture reverts to the full size. It does look like on the juice page the max scale might be 150x150 or so, although it might not actually be a square scale. On the category page it is a bit smaller, maybe 100x100. So I'll just use 150x150 as a judge and that should be alright. Thanks again Poeia. I really appreciate the help.

So here is the next one, Dragonlust. It's another one that I painted instead of photoshopped. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I cropped this one a bit so that it would scale better and still show the heart.

I'm really glad that you're loving them because I'm having a lot of fun making them. :D

I looked in the configuration settings, and it looks like the Product Listing image size is 100w by 80h, and the Product Info image size is 150w by 120h

Ok great. Thanks for the info. I think Poeia and me were assuming the max was square because of some of the other pictures. So, I'll try to remember those maxes for scale checking sake but I think they are transferring just fine as is.

Would you like them to be more rectangular? Or are you okay with the square?
