Not really sure....My dog was chasing a bug, so he might have jumped and landed on it while it was closed, or it was me. I was putting up my blinds after cleaning them. Not sure if I stepped on it or not. Luckily, it's not an actual laptop, it's just a chromebook, so it's not too terribly expensive to replace. I just gotta slow down on my vape spending for awhile!

Does it have a video output port? You could connect it to an external display if so.

I once had a really nice expensive laptop have the display go out. I just kept the lid closed, hooked up an external display, keyboard and mouse, and used it as if it were a desktop PC. Got a few more years (money's worth) out of it that way.

oh no! as long as your e-liquid stash doesn't get low.

There's a setting for that (in Windows anyway) in your power settings (a button in your screensaver setup) to set behavior when lid is closed. Set it to "Do nothing".
