What's the matter, kitty?

Amazing what a different voltage and device can do to a liquid. So far there have only been 3 deej flavors I've disliked (excluding Cheesy Broccoli and, obviously, champagne.) There are some I probably won't order again, but only because there are others I like more.

I decided to fill a tank with one of them -- Bluemel Caraberry -- and I really like it. I haven't tried it for over a month, but I bought it in March so it should have been fully mature by then. The difference? No filler in the cartos and a few extra fractions of a volt on the PV. In short order I went from "This really isn't bad. I'll have no problems vaping this bottle." to "This is pretty good. I might order it once in a while in the future." to "This is very good. I might order it more than once in a while."

And how clean are Deej's juices? I think I put about 60ml of various Tahitian Vanilla and various fruit taffies through this tank when I decided it wasn't wicking great any longer. So I finished off that tank and dismantled it. On the underside, around the piece that makes contact with the PV, there was some dark stuff. It looked like the baked gunk that you have to boil off an atomizer (and, even then, you can't always get it.) I put all the pieces in a jar with a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid. Swished once and it's all gone. I practically stuck the various parts up my nose and I can't smell anything on them. And some of them have strong aromas. The coil is still drying but I'm using that tank with the coil I ran my Apriberry (Raspcot?) Cheesecake through -- once it dried I can't smell that on the wick either.

Awww... I wanted pics of carto parts up somebody's nose

I like the dish liquid cleaning method... please let me know how that turns out!

Ok. I'm sold. Deej is the best!

Why, thank you! :) I'm curious to know what I did...

I still use cartos, and don't ever bother washing them, but it is pretty amazing the mileage i can get out of a carto these days. Keep it topped off (or in a tank) and they last a LONG time. i think you're right Poeia, it is the fact that the juices are so clean/clear.

Hi RealJason :) You're right Deej is the best, and he has good stuff :D

Stop! You'll make a kitty bush! :p

Not quite up my nose -- but close.

Deej, I'm using Vivi Novas and I love them. No filler (which is what I don't like about cartos) -- just wash it off and wait until it dries. The coil takes the longest to dry so rotate them through.

As for dishwashing liquid, I have a CPAP for my sleep apnea. The respiratory therapy people said wash it with unscented, non-antibacterial dishwashing liquid. The antibacterial part is alcohol which dries out plastics and shortens their lifespan. And, as the manufacturer of the mask said in the literature, no matter how well you rinse it, you can never get all the scent out and you don't want to breathe that all night long. I figure if they say I can breathe it all night, it's good enough for my tank. But I don't know that I'd use it in a carto with filler.

When I started, 5-6 years ago, about the only soap I could find was Seventh Generation Free & Clear but there are other options now.

Yes, short wick. It's no more problem than learning to push a button to activate the battery. When the tank is full, it covers the wick. After that, each time I lay it down it rewets the wick. If I'm doing more than 2-3 puffs at a time, I just tilt it. The only time I have to make a conscious effort is when I'm emptying the tank. I don't want to throw out an inch or so of liquid but, if I do a lot of tilting and twisting, I can keep the wicks dry until almost every drop is gone. (The short wicks basically touch the sides of the tank. They look like kitty whiskers. They are easy to keep wet.)

The best part (other than the flavor) is that I've had 2 in use since July 20 and they have yet to leak a single drop.

ETA: Unless you count the times I took the top off and tilted it when it was full or the time I unscrewed from the base instead of unscrewing the base from the PV. But I don't think those were design flaws.
