They're sort of like a sweet-tart in texture but I'd probably say a little softer in the teeth. Disks of course with one edge being scalloped to resemble a bottlecap.
They come in a mixed bag or box with Rootbeer, cola, grape, orange, and cherry flavors mixed and do a pretty good job of approximating old school generic soda flavors. Though the fruit flavored ones are a little on the tart side. They have a very slight "fizz effect" to them as well.
Why I prefer the rootbeer and cola, is that they're less tart, seem to approximate a more familiar generic soda flavor better, and they also seem to have slightly more pronounced fizz effect than the others. In fact it maybe the tart flavor of the fruits that diminish the effect.
For a long time they were really hard to find and you'd have to go to like those nostalgia candy stores online to get them. But over the last few years they've become part of the Wonka line.
