I've often thought how great life would be without the expense of the pet supplies and the hassles of feeding, watering, and cleaning up after them.

But on the flipside, I can't imagine the thought of coming home to an empty apartment every night. They add so much in so many ways to your life IMO.

The vet's also got a 5 YO spayed female called Golden Nugget(?) that was on display during my first visit. I asked where she was this time and they're all like "Oh she's in the back!" and "She sure would fit nicely in that carrier of yours.".

Not sure what it will take but I'm sure I'll be taking the plunge again here soon.

Totally get that; I thought the same things when my last kitty passed a few years ago. She had been sick awhile so I was not very interested in a new one right away. Then again, I only had the one. It was nice not having the responsibility for awhile, but I was happy after I had a stray come into my life. I didn't realize how much more I valued the companionship. :)

Did Nugget like you? Because resistance is, indeed, futile once a pet declares
"You're my person!!"

The color of the text above is in honor of what I assume is Golden Nugget's coloring.

RIP Bunky. You were lucky to have Trav in your life (and, I'm sure, Trav was lucky to have you.)

I didn't really give her the chance, just a finger through the cage bars that she rubbed her cheeks on. Proabably no more than the others who had seen her. Didn't want to become too attached myself since I still had Bunky's issues to deal with.

But that is how I got my very first cat. My Boss had a litter, so went I over to play for a while to see which one picked me. :)

I went to my pet store to make boarding reservations for Thanksgiving for my last parakeet. Poeia was a few weeks old. She took one look at me and was in love. I managed to wait and when I got back from Thanksgiving I went in Monday morning and said "I came for Patience and I'll pick up the other one on Friday."

My sister went to get a kitten at Bide-a-Wee (a no-kill shelter in NYC) and had to walk past the cats. Fateetah saw her and flung herself at the bars of the cage and started petting Nancy on the face. The funny thing was that she was a sweet cat but I swear that was the only time in her entire life that she was that demonstrative. I guess that once Nancy recognized that she was Fateetah's person, she didn't see the need any longer.

I saw that. :p

I put in a six pack order real quick due to the fallout situation. In hopes it would get shipped before the nuclear zombies come a knockin.

I noticed I left the E off at the end of Snickerdoodle, so if you can just take the extra I from the Lemon M Piie and put it down there it should square things up?

I've coordinated forces to be on station until the package is prepared, it's mission will then change to courier escort.

Depending on the situation at that time, you may wish to pack up your necessities and leave with him.

by the way... did anybody notice that there's a FireKitty sitting on deej's English Toffee?

Thank you. I did check as soon as I got home from Dad's today but haven't had a chance to check since.

Putting together an order, darn you.

ETA: Do you think FK will be moving from that traditional flavor tonight? It might be worth my waiting to see where it ends up.
