Deej..umm..no steeping required?...but..I..how is that so?
Either way..I got it today and it's yummy.

Unless there's some extenuating circumstance, anytime a given flavor + flavor strength + nic + pg/vg ratio meets or exceeds 60ml, I mix it using a high-speed stirring process. (Sometimes I'll do it on 30ml, but I have to have a SUPER good reason.)

It takes a bit longer from start to finish, but about the same amount of paws-on time.

The advantage is that, with the possible exception of Poeia ( :) ), it eliminates the need for steeping.

okay... so... starting probably on Monday, I'm going to be starting up an experiment, and I'll need volunteers.

It involves clothes made out of bacon...

Not really...

I ordered more lab gear, and will be able to start doing some trials to determine if high-speed stirring can eliminate (or greatly reduce) the recommended steep times.

In order for me to use high-speed stirring, the minimum quantity is 30ml of a given Nic, PG/VG, Flavor and Flavor Load.

This will be an automatic thing... so if you DO NOT want to take part, please let me know in your Order Comments.

Also... it's not necessary that you order 30ml or more... you'll get "spun" if between you and others the total quantity hits the 30ml mark.

The biggest drawback right now is that this could possibly delay the shipping of your order by a day. I can mix a given bottle in a few minutes, but spinning adds 15-30 minutes.

Yeah... one of the things I'm trying to determine is precisely how long I need to stir a mix to get the desired result. Based on spot-testing, I know that 30 minutes works quite well. But I don't know if that's overkill or not.

Anyway, I hope you guys (or at least some of you guys) is up for this!

The big win for me will be sending Poeia a bottle of juice that she finds vapable right out of the mailbox!

nosmok, Deej does everything for us except vaping the juice when it's done.

:)

I did have to up the minimum quantity...

It's because I can't mix exactly 60ml and have the bottled amount be 60. Some of it always stays behind in the beaker.

So, I mix 5ml over to compensate... and that gets too wasteful at the 30ml level. :(

Ralph T did point out that since I use magnetic stirrers, I could probably use a rice-bar (magnetic stirring bar not much bigger than a grain of rice.)

I'm looking into that. Getting the stir-bar back out of the bottle may not be as easy as you'd think, given the shoulder of the bottle.

Still... I think it's sorta cool being able to get custom-mixed juice and not having to let it steep!

High speed stirring..interesting. It worked really well. Just have to make sure I put it down from time to time.

oh... because tomorrow is cyber-monday, I'm re-enabling and extending the "I am thankful" code for another day or two.

In other news, next Sunday will mark the end of the FireKitty Flavor of the Week/Moment promotion. Need to make way for other fun things, and honestly, the FireKitty is getting rather fatigued. :)

Do you have a magnetic stir bar retriever? It's basically a magnet on a handle or on a long plastic stick. It might let you use a bit larger stir bar even for smaller volumes

I never put the retriever IN the container, yuck- but it works nicely from outside too
