Hi! I need a few suggestions...
I've been at this for almost a month and my husband wants to start also. I don't like TH, so I stick with high VG and smooth, sweet flavors.
He's tried a few of my samples and really likes TH. What PG/VG ratio would be good for him to start? Do any flavors have more of a TH? Neither of us want tobacco flavors, but a mild menthol would be OK. He does like cappuccino and some fruits.
Any suggestions would be appreciated immensely!

Hi stormyhaze,
I'll see if I can help you out a little. I have some reviews here if you want to read them as well.

For you I would suggest maybe PB&J Raspberry, Strawberry Cheesecake, or maybe a sweet taffy flavor.

As for him I would probably suggest caramel cappuccino cheesecake, peppermint taffy for it's th, or tiramisu.

It is hard to judge th and flavors because they are all different to different people. Mild th for me might be strong for someone else and flavors are completely opinion based but Deej does make good juices. Even the ones that I don't enjoy from him are good just not to my liking.

From other people I have had juices that were unvapeable and gag worthy. Yet from deej I haven't found anything close to that. So maybe try a couple and see what you like and what works for you.

Hope that helps a little. :)

Also, make sure to let the juice steep before using. If you don't know about steeping, it's basically just letting the freshly made juice sit for about a week and shaking the bottles everyday for around 10 or so second each. This helps to mix the flavors fully together and even them out through the whole bottle. This will make them taste better and make the th from the flavoring more mellow.

I run a 50/50 PG/VG mix, but I'm not all that concerned with TH. I'm also with you on the sweet & smooth flavors.

For TH you'd want more PG in the mix. 70/30 PG/VG seems to be about the standard mix. I'd start your hubby off there. As for flavors, minty & menthol are always good for TH, a lot of the citrus fruits seem have a good TH as well.

Hope this helps!

I don't like throat hit either but Peppermint Taffy and Tiramisu are at the core of my collection. Then I remembered that I vape 4-8mg. Nicotine level also plays a major role in TH. Both those flavors have very strong flavor. Combined with sufficient nicotine they would have plenty of TH.

Other than Peppermint Taffy, the taffies tend to be flavorful, mild and sweet but not overly sweet. Deej doesn't add sweetener (except to one flavor but I forget which one it is -- it says it in the product description.)

I'm not a fan of cheesecake in real life so the only one from Deej I get is the Apricot/Raspberry. I adore it. It has a toasted flavor, if that makes any sense. That's my third constant flavor.

One thing I've found with Deej's flavors is that if I dislike one and put it in the back of all the other bottles, planning to find something to mix it with later, after a month it changes. I didn't like Tiramisu, Vanilla Cola or Bluemel Caraberry at first. All three aged into great vapes.

ETA: Deej likes subtle flavor for himself. For most of us, a 125-150% flavor load is preferable.

Sometimes I wonder if my brain thinks that stronger flavors are equal to stronger th. I also think that mints add to th but that might just be my taste. I am also at 16mg nic which is probably adding to the th.

As for the putting away and bringing back out a month later, and the flavor load. I agree, one thousand times. :toast:
It's weird how the juices age like that isn't it?

Good Day Everyone.
I think I will go with 209 today. If it hasnt been picked :)

It wasn't... and then it was! :)

I figured it was something like that. He is just so cute but so evil. I have named him "Winklebottom The Destroyer Of Worlds".

He tells me evil things like "buy more juice" and "you need to buy bigger bottles".

Darn you Winklebottom!!! :)

I think I might like Winklebottom... but that's just me...

Happy Thursday!! 252, please...

Happy Thursday! You got it!

I have a non-Deej package in Phoenix that says it will be delivered tomorrow. If it were L.A., I'd believe it -- it could catch the red eye and be in NY in time for loading on a truck. But, last I checked, there were no lon-stops from Phoenix to NY. I'm assuming they're lying.

Maybe the Phoenix post office is staffed only with people who were trained at you-know-what sorting facility.
